Yiiiihaaaa! I'm back from my holidays and since I was in the USA I totally feel like a cowgirl now! I hope you didn't forget me! I missed you and my art so much! Of course I had to paint as soon as I walked through my door. So this is a work in progress of Jessie from Toy Story. I bought her at the Disneyland in LA.  Yodalaiiiditiiiii!!!!

A new doll on the market. She is called Deeni Doll.
The doll doesn’t have a face. No eyes and ears, no nose and lips. No facial features at all. Nothing. Blank.

Faceless dolls are for Muslim girls. To make the girls brainless. To make their heads blank.

A billboard along I-95 near Richmond, Virginia, erected recently by PFOX (Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays & Gays), has come in for derision after the man depicted on it contacted local news to say the roadside ad takes serious liberties with the truth.

South African model Kyle Roux clarified that he doesn’t have a twin brother, and that he is himself an out-and-proud gay man:

“It just seems like there no place in today’s world for an organization that is promoting this as being some kind of deviant or distasteful lifestyle, because I’ve lived my life openly gay and happy for my entire life.”

PFOX claims that homosexuality is a choice and encourages gay people to become straight through sheer willpower, which the Lord Jesus could provide if only gay sinners would embrace him.

Speaking via Skype [with the NBC news affiliate in Richmond], Kyle Roux said he was shocked his image was used. Especially since he calls himself an “out and proud” gay man… Roux hasn’t thought about that photo shoot in nearly a decade. He says the pictures used on the billboard were part of a stock photo shoot he did. Roux signed away the rights and was told the pictures would be used in commercial and corporate ads and brochures.

If PFOX’s “science” were true, the organization shouldn’t have a hard time coming up with actual identical twins of the “one gay, one not” variety. That the gay-hating group had to resort to double fakery says more about PFOX than the message on the billboard ever could.

I’m a bit sketical…

The Everfree Forest update dropped a few days ago for the Gameloft My Little Pony game on iOS, and already people are digging into the files looking for secrets and future additions that might have been added.  This time they struck gold, with 74 dialogue files hidden, covering everything from Sombra's "CRYYYYSTALS" to general Cadance and Shining Armor lines. 

Our submitter, Gabby, notes that the expansion will probably feature two arcs, one dedicated to the season 3 premiere, and another for Games Ponies Play based on what is said.

George Mallory (1886-1924) was an English mountaineer and could possibly have been the first man to reach the summit of Mt Everest, almost 30 years before Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. During a 1924 expedition, Mallory and fellow climber Andrew Irvine were last seen 245 metres from the summit before vanishing. In what had been the greatest mystery in climbing for over 75 years, Mallory’s body was only discovered in 1999. It’s still debated whether or not Mallory and Irvine reached the summit before their death.

Mallory’s most famous quote is the shorter reply he gave to the same question in this comic. Asked “Why do you want to climb Mount Everest?”, Mallory answered “Because it’s there.”

The character in this comic is obviously not Mallory, he’s my boy genius inventor first seen in the Make Gifts For People comic. I’ve been wanting to use him again for awhile now.
