This is the trial run of the patches I'm going to be making and selling soon. I digitized the art (by ) myself. I'll be using a thicker fabric for the patches, I just wanted to see how they would come out before I used the good fabric (the stuff in the pictures is just a really thin cotton). I'm glad I did because I need to thicken Luna's lines, and the one of Applejack's ear lines. I should hopefully have some of these up in my etsy ( www.etsy.com/shop/GlitterFoxX ) store before Monday. I'll also be working on something else with these patterns once I get the shipment of things I'll be embroidering them on.

I think this may be my favorite sculpture to date! Everything came out just as I wanted and it looks great from any angle! I'll probably post more pics later because I like it that much!

She is made out of Super Sculpey, painted with acrylics, placed in a martini glass, and then clear green resin was poured over her into the glass to provide the look of her bathing in an appletini.

using custom software, the complete works of william shakespeare were translated into a series of colored squares (each letter is represented by a color and each square approximately 0.5mm), transforming the work into a singular color field.

Compare with my old one:

She's 14 inches tall (17 including that poof) and has a rotatable neck. I used full embroidery for her hair lines this time, noooo way I was gonna satin stitch those curls. It turned out really nice though! It was a super pain, but I'd do it again. You also can't see it in the pictures, but I finally made the back of her head flush with her neck. I re-patterned my whole head pretty much, ears along with it. helped me out with those, along with re-hooping for the tail! c:

If you’ve completely given up on hologram displays or smartphones and other devices that can beam high definition holograms, next year that’s going to change. A new dedicated processor, small enough to fit in a phone will debut next damn year, giving your phones of the near future the ability to do things like send a hologram to someone to ask for help, in something that’s far smaller than an R2 unit.

Something a bit minor tonight since it's a relatively slow news day. 

The Brony Bump! It's something many of you chase after (especially in that music community!), and has even touched The Nostalgia Critic as he realizes the power of adding pony to something.  I'd argue that this goes both ways though.  When Nostalgia Critic says the word "pony" I get flooded with emails! Madness I say!

Anyway, check out his recent Blues Brothers 2000 video for the brony portion at the 22 mark.

It’s never good when you cause your own unintentional billboard controversy…

Alabama-based Life Savers Ministries (LSM) put up the following ad in the city of Auburn. Let’s see if you can figure out why it caused a stir:

He alone, who owns the youth, owns the future. — Adolf Hitler

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. — Proverbs 22:6

There are two possible interpretations here that come to mind…

1. LSM saw Hitler’s quotation, agreed with it, and didn’t give a second thought to who the hell Hitler was.
2. LSM was suggesting that evil people might get to your children, so Bible-lovin’ Christians need to get to them first!

To my surprise, the correct answer appears to have been Option #1.

Which is why, even though the billboard just went up Friday, it’s coming right back down today:

“We are pulling the billboard and certainly never intended to cause confusion. … Herbert Hoover would have been a far better one to quote when he said, ‘Children are our most valuable resource,’” founder James Anderegg told the Ledger-Enquirer. “We are a children’s organization and had honorable intentions and nothing less.”

The man makes sense. Yes, Herbert Hoover would probably have been a better choice than the guy who ordered the mass slaughter of millions of Jews… Honest mistake. Maybe they just forgot to Google “Adolf Hitler” before using his line. Could’ve happened to anyone, I’m sure.

In all seriousness, I’m almost positive this happened because someone approved the billboard design without much input from others. Let that be a lesson: If you’re going to pay for a billboard that makes a statement, make sure you run it by a few people to make sure the intended statement gets through to everyone.

It’s not like atheists haven’t made that mistake before…:

This may be the oldest cat in the world. She's probably over 40!

The 2010 Guinness Book of World Records lists the cat Cream Puff as the longest living cat ever. Cream Puff died in 2005, and a cat named Lucy took over as the oldest active. Lucy may now be even older than Cream Puff was, though.

Cream Puff was 38 years and three days old on the day she died. Lucy is now thought to be over 40 years old, though her exact age isn’t known. When Lucy's owner Bill Thomas took her to the vet, the vet said," she was very old but it was not possible to give her exact age."

Cream Puff was well known for being one of the two oldest cats in the world. Both owned by the same man and were featured in the short documentary ‘South Paws”. The cats were fed a breakfast of bacon, eggs, broccoli and coffee ever morning. Lucy doesn’t have any unique diet, so maybe the diet doesn’t have much to do with a cat’s longevity. We will probably never know.
