Angela Kipp, 35, was so scared by a spider that she leapt out of a moving car, leaving behind her 9-year-old son in the back seat.
Kipp was backing out of her driveway in Syracuse, Indiana, with the boy in the back seat when she literally jumped out of the vehicle after realizing that a spider had landed on her shoulder, according to WXIN-TV.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department said the child in the backseat sprang into the front seat and tried to hit the brake but instead tapped the accelerator, catapulting the car onto the road and into a school bus.
There were no children on board the school bus, and the driver was not injured.
The child was taken to Indiana University hospital to be treated for minor head injuries. It was not clear whether Kipp suffered any injuries.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment from TheBlaze.
