Discotek Media Announces Release of Hayao Miyazaki's "Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro"

SWEET!!! #anime from my childhood is finally coming out again.

Discotek Media has announced plans to release Hayao Miyazaki's Lupin III anime movie Castle of Cagliostro on DVD and Blu Ray. They say that DVD will come out first, likely in August. The Blu-ray is slated for the end of year or early 2015. Both the Streamline Pictures and Manga Entertainment English dubs will be included, it will have the original intro along with the Japanese language and English subs.

Our own @ReedNelson has already recorded an audio commentary for CAGLIOSTRO. Other extras are TBD, but we have a LOT in mind.

The 1979 caper movie was the solo directorial debut of Hayao Miyazaki.

Taiwanese Version of "Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment" Game Includes English Subtitles

Hmm this is a clever way to handle things.

Importers take note: In the event that Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment never makes it to the west, there's always the Taiwanese version to fall back on. Namco Bandai Games Taiwan announced that their version will have Japanese voiceovers and subtitles in both Traditional Chinese and English.

 

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment makes its debut on PS Vita in Japan on April 24. As for the Taiwanese version, it's not too far behind, with a launch set for May 29.

"Ah! My Goddess" Manga Ending Announced

Man all these good #manga are slowly dying off

Kōsuke Fujishima's long running manga Ah! My Goddess! (or Oh My Goddess!) finally has an end an sight, with the 1998 magic girlfriend series set to wrap up in the June issue of Afternoon, on sale April 25th. The upcoming magazine will also feature an important announcement concerning the issue.

 

The 48th and final volume, on sale July 25th, with feature an audio drama, artbook and special box with its limited edition.

 

Dark Horse's release of the series is America's longest running manga.

"The World God Only Knows" Manga Prepares to Wrap Up

T.M.Revolution to Perform "Disk Wars: The Avengers" OP&ED Songs

It is confirmed that T.M.Revolution will perform the OP and ED theme songs for the upcoming TV anime Disk Wars: The Avengers, Marvel's first collaboration TV anime series with Toei Animation (Dragon Ball, One Piece, PreCure). Toei (film/TV company) previously collaborated with Marvel for the live-action TV series Spider-Man featuring a giant robot Leopardon in 1978-1979.

 

The OP song "Tsukiyabureru -Time to SMASH!" and ED song "Thread of fate" are newly written by T.M.Revolution for the anime. The release of the single has not been decided yet. The TV anime series will premiere on TV Tokyo and its affiliates on April 2. Toshiaki Komura, who directed Futari wa PreCure Splash Star (2006-2007), Yes! PreCure 5 (2007-2008), and Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo! (2008-2009), serves as the series director.
