adidas Football has released a new advert starring Paul Pogba which pokes fun at the speculation surrounding his rumored transfer to Manchester United.
The clip, titled “Blah Blah Blah,” opens up with the Juventus and France midfielder laughing at a mocked up newspaper with his face on the front page, before endless headlines reading “blah blah blah” follow him around his daily life.
Pogba has been persistently linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid all summer and a move back to Old Trafford worth at least £100 million appears close. But in the clip, the Frenchman tells the camera, “Don’t believe everything you read in the papers.”
The clip is advertising adidas’ new film series First Never Follows, with one for each of the six biggest Three Stripe-sponsored clubs: Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus and AC Milan.
Pogba is joined in the clip by Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho, and British grime artist Stormzy, who imparts his trademark “shut up” upon seeing the headlines. Check it out above.
