EmahlstadtI want all of these, but especially the cannibal holocuaat one.
After decades of leaving their imprint on grindhouse screens and basement TVs, three beloved horror and exploitation classics are now springing to new life in jigsaw form. Cannibal Holocaust, Pieces and The Beyond have been torn, hacked, and gouged into 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles, courtesy of the fittingly named Messed Up Puzzles!
This first series of collector’s edition puzzles is officially licensed from Grindhouse Releasing co-founder and Academy Award-winning film editor Bob Murawski. “This is one of the coolest products we’ve been involved with,” says Murawski. “A beautiful, high-quality collectible, dripping with delirious details.”

You can grab the 1,000 piece puzzles for $29 each right now!
Stay tuned for the announcement of new Messed Up titles in 2019.
Lovecraftian Horror Game ‘Conarium’ Heads to PlayStation 4, Xbox One Next Month
Emahlstadti love it when things are "lovecraftian"!
Launched in June 2018 on Steam, Zoetrope Interactive’s Lovecraftian horror title Conarium will be headed to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month, according to publisher Iceberg Interactive.
For those unfamiliar, in Conarium, you play as Frank Gilman as he explores Upuaut, a seemingly-deserted Antarctic base. And given that this is Lovecraft we’re talking about, the game sports intense imagery and effects that typify what you’d expect from a game that takes inspiration from Lovecraft’s “At The Mountains of Madness”.
Iceberg Interactive has also stated that Conarium will take advantage of the enhancements offered by the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. Either you choose to get a solid 60fps out of the game, or you get the extra resolution at 30fps. The choice is yours. No word exactly when in February the game will hit consoles, but that should be rectified soon.

Texas WR Collin Johnson announces he will return for senior season
Emahlstadtwoooo!
The talented junior wide out will spend one more year on the Forty Acres before heading to the NFL.
Just days after helping lead the Texas Longhorns to their first New Year’s Six Bowl win in a 28-21 Sugar Bowl victory over the Georgia Bulldogs, junior wide receiver Collin Johnson announced on Thursday that he will return to Texas for his senior season.
The best is yet to come! #CallinJohnson #Hookem pic.twitter.com/RJvjnAE4OF
— Collin Johnson (@Call_In_Johnson) January 3, 2019
In his evaluation process, Johnson received a “return to school” recommendation from the NFL Draft Advisory Committee, meaning he was projected to be drafted in the third round or later.
Prior to the Sugar Bowl, Johnson addressed the evaluations and would make his decision following the Sugar Bowl, but gave no indication where he was leaning. He wasted little time making the announcement and gave Longhorns fans yet another reason to be excited for the 2019 campaign.
Johnson now has the opportunity to build upon an already impressive career in burnt orange, as he is already one of the most productive receivers in school history.
In his three seasons at Texas, Johnson amassed 150 receptions and 2,245 yards, both good enough to be No. 9 all-time in their respective categories. For the 2018 season, he and Lil’Jordan Humphrey combined for 2,161 yards to finish with the second-highest yardage total in a single season, 22 yards shy of Quan Cosby and Jordan Shipley’s 2008 season.
Johnson finished his junior year as Texas’ second-leading receiver with 68 receptions for 985 yards and seven touchdowns. If he manages to turn in a similar performance in 2019, he will find his name next to Roy Williams and Jordan Shipley atop the school’s best receiving careers.
Texas fans now await the decision of Humphrey, who according to reports received a similar evaluation to Johnson prior to the Sugar Bowl. If both receivers make the decision to return, the Longhorns could potentially boast the most dangerous offense in the Big 12.
Versatile Texas defender Malcolm Roach announces he will return for senior season
Emahlstadtwoooo!
The Louisiana native is expected to bolster the defensive line in 2019, but he can also play multiple other positions.
Malcolm Roach will be back on the Forty Acres, as the versatile Texas Longhorns defender announced his decision to return for his senior season on Thursday afternoon:
UNFINISHED BUSINESS #Hookem #TRACCCYYY pic.twitter.com/YLryGDbar3
— HENDRIX ROACH (@Officialmalcr32) January 3, 2019
“Winning the Sugar Bowl was an amazing way to cop off my junior year,” Roach wrote. “We ended on a high note but everyone in that locker room knew that he have unfinished business. I received a great deal of attention from the NFL this season. However, after talking it over with my family, I’ve decided to return for my senior year and earn my degree from the University of Texas.
“Longhorn Nation I will be back!”
Roach became the second Longhorns player to make a similar announcement on Thursday, joining standout wide receiver Collin Johnson.
A 6’3, 270-pounder, Roach was originally a consensus three-star prospect in the 2016 class out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a freshman, he was a breakout sensation at the Fox position under former head coach Charlie Strong, starting five games and recording eight tackles for loss and three sacks.
During the 2017 season, Roach moved to defensive end while battling a turf toe injury. He only started three games, but did notch 37 tackles, four tackles for loss, and two sacks.
After experimenting with Roach at linebacker against Maryland and Tulsa, including Todd Orlando’s B-backer position, Roach suffered a fractured foot against USC that kept him out until the West Virginia game. When he returned, Orlando moved him back to defensive end, where he played well in the Big 12 Championship game against Oklahoma with five tackles.
On the season, Roach totaled 24 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and two quarterback hurries.
With all three starters along the defensive line departing, Roach is likely to remain at the defensive end position, where he’ll have a chance to provide some steady senior leadership and build on his experience playing there over the last two seasons.
So while there wasn’t any significant buzz about Roach declaring for the 2019 NFL Draft, it’s still a positive to hear that he’ll be back, because the Longhorns will need him to once again be an impact player like he was as a freshman.

Emahlstadtwhat's the chance they picked up either this script or mostly-finished film and smacked "black mirror" on as a supertitle?
Change your mind. Change your past… present… future.

“In 1984, a young programmer begins to question reality as he adapts a sprawling fantasy novel into a video game and soon faces a mind-mangling challenge.”
From what we understand, this is actually a feature film rather than a standalone episode, and it’s rumored to be a choose-your-own-adventure affair. Watch the trailer below!

Texas freshman QB Casey Thompson has reportedly entered name into NCAA transfer portal
Emahlstadtdouble-oof
The dual-threat passer is apparently ready to explore his transfer options following the 2018 season.
The same day Cameron Rising’s name first appeared on the transfer portal, Chip Brown of Horns247 reported that Casey Thompson has also entered his name into the recently-instituted tracker for college coaches.
The transfer portal, which is in its first year of use, is a tool that allows a student athlete to explore their options outside of their current school, while maintaining an option to return. That means that even though both players are exploring their options outside of the 40 Acres, both could return if they choose.
Thompson came to Texas in a hotly-contested recruiting battle, picking the Longhorns over his home-state Oklahoma Sooners, where his father Charles Thompson played two years and earned all-conference honors.
A four-star dual threat quarterback, Thompson played most of his high school career at Southmoore in Oklahoma before transferring to Newcastle High School to complete his high school career. Through his four years of high school, Thompson produced 12,840 yards of total offense, setting the Oklahoma state record. Thompson is a true dual-threat and seems tailor-made to fit the system at Texas after earning a consensus four-star ranking out of high school as the nation’s No. 14 dual-threat quarterback and the No. 291 player overall, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
If Thompson does decide to take his talents elsewhere, the Texas quarterback room will lose a dynamic playmaker possessing all the physical tools to succeed. If both quarterbacks elect to return, Texas will have five scholarship quarterbacks when 2019 signee Roschon Johnson enrolls in January. Most schools prefer to have four scholarship players at the position. Any more than that and getting players repetitions in practice can become difficult.
And though losing both Thompson and Rising would be a significant blow, the two quarterbacks are exploring their options because sophomore Sam Ehlinger has experienced so much success this season — he wasn’t the clear starter even through most of preseason camp, but quickly gained control of the job once the season started. With two seasons of eligibility remaining for Ehlinger, there was always a high likelihood that at least one quarterback would leave this offseason.
Now the question may be how many quarterbacks depart the Forty Acres in the coming weeks.
Watch this updated look at Crackdown 3 single-player
Emahlstadtyeah, no thanks.
It’s been a long time since we got to see Crackdown 3’s single-player portion in action.
Microsoft is slowly revealing more about Crackdown 3, which will hopefully make the game a lot less mysterious. Following the multiplayer debut last month, we now get to have a proper look at the single-player mode.
This is the mode starring the lovable Terry Crews as commanding agent Isaiah Jaxon, though it sadly doesn’t feature multiplayer’s impressive destruction tech.
In the video below from IGN, Microsoft Studios creative director Joseph Staten gives us a bit of a tour of one of the game’s in-game activities. It’s under four minutes, but it sets up what players can expect just fine.
The list of agents you can choose from is vast, and each of them comes with different skills, which can also be upgraded as you play. Interestingly, the progression made with the different agents is separate from the story campaign, meaning you can bring a high-level one to a new, early-game save.

Texas freshman QB Cameron Rising listed in NCAA transfer portal
Emahlstadtoof
The former four-star prospect signed with the Longhorns last cycle as the nation’s No. 11 pro-style passer.
It appears that the Texas Longhorns quarterback room is set to lose one of its highest-upside options.
As first noted by The Football Brainiacs, freshman quarterback Cameron Rising’s name is now listed in the NCAA transfer portal, which would mark the former four-star prospect’s departure after only just one season on the Forty Acres.
#HookEm QB, Cameron Rising is now listed in the NCAA Transfer Portal. pic.twitter.com/wg55II7leK
— Super K (@SuperK_TFB) December 22, 2018
A one-time Oklahoma pledge, Rising signed with Texas during the early signing period last cycle and enrolled early, providing Tom Herman’s program with the nation’s No. 11 pro-style passer and a top 300 talent nationally. However, his role as the third-string quarterback behind backup Shane Buechele and budding star Sam Ehlinger led to a redshirt season, though Rising was listed ahead of fellow freshman and former four-star quarterback Casey Thompson on the depth chart.
Given how things played out at his position throughout his freshman campaign, though, the path to playing time is now, of course, much foggier than it may have seemed at the time of Rising’s pledge and subsequent signing.
After being unable to do so as a true freshman in 2017, Sam Ehlinger solidified his status as Texas starting gunslinger as a sophomore, completing 256-of-398 passes (64.3%) for 3,123 yards and 25 touchdowns with only five interceptions. The dual-threat gunslinger added another 418-yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground, leading the Longhorns to a Big 12 Championship appearance and a New Year’s Six bowl berth along the way.
The sitting starter is set to return to his post as QB1 in 2019, and potentially on into 2020 as well, which, of course, can prove problematic for younger prospects in pursuit of early playing time such as Rising.
With Rising seemingly headed for the exits, Texas will enter the spring with four scholarship quarterbacks on campus.
In addition to a junior Ehlinger, a senior Buechele, and a redshirt freshman Thompson, four-star talent at No. 4 dual-threat quarterback Roschon Johnson is set to enroll early.
Die Hard, the Greatest Christmas Story
Emahlstadtat long last the “lulz die hard is a christmas movie!” has become the most tired-ass internet “joke” of all time, beating out “is a hotdog a sandwich?” and “is cereal soup” by a wide margin. the rote repetition of this concept, which was never really very funny or interesting to begin with is now more obnoxious than bacon obsession or even putting nic cage’s face on things. why won’t the internet just stop?
The tradition of fans recutting trailers and clips of movies and TV shows into different genres — like Toy Story as a horror film and The Shining as a romantic comedy — has been around almost as long as YouTube itself. But I think this trailer by 20th Century Fox is the first official effort I’ve seen. Die Hard has become an unlikely holiday favorite so I guess they figured, hey, let’s put out a trailer that explicitly recasts the it as a Christmas film. Merry Christmas Hans!

4-star OT Isaiah Hookfin signs with Texas over Baylor
Emahlstadt"With Hookfin in the mix, the Longhorns, and more specifically, offensive line coach Herb Hand’s haul features a trio of four-star offensive tackle talents..."
don't look now, but we could have a legit offense in a couple of years!
After an eventful few days for the Sugar Land Dulles product, including a delayed decision, Hookfin says Hook ‘em.
Yet another high-level interior talent is now on board with Tom Herman’s 2019 class, as Sugar Land Dulles offensive tackle Isaiah Hookfin brought his recruitment to a close on Friday morning to cap the early signing period and signed with the Texas Longhorns.

Hookfin sided with Texas over a collection of 20 other offers, with invitations stemming from the likes of Auburn, Mississippi State, Baylor, Texas Tech, Illinois, Arizona State, and Duke.
However, it was Hookfin’s most recent offer from the Longhorns that ultimately loomed the largest for the late-rising recruit. After officially notching a Texas offer while on the Forty Acres for the West Virginia game, Hookfin’s recruitment almost immediately swung in the Longhorns’ favor.
— Isaiah Hookfin (@IsaiahHookfin) November 5, 2018
After arriving on campus with just one Crystal Ball pick to Texas, three more came in during the day of his first tour of the Forty Acres, and then another three rolled in throughout the next three days. By the time it was all said and done, each of Hookfin’s 14 industry projections picked the Longhorns.
Nevertheless, despite some belief that Hookfin would bring his recruitment to a close sooner than later, his rapid rise prompted a more thorough look at the options on his list.
After officially touring Illinois weeks before picking up his Texas offer, Hookfin utilized his second official visit on a trip to Arizona State on Nov. 10. Weeks later, he opened the final month of the early signing period with an official visit to Baylor on Dec. 1, and then an official to Minnesota the following weekend on Dec. 8.
But, of course, the team that was the last to offer got the last official visit, as Hookfin officially toured the Forty Acres over the Dec. 14 weekend, and after being considered the far-and-away favorite since putting an offer on the table, Texas closed the door and secured Hookfin’s commitment on Friday morning.
The decision clearly wasn’t easy for the Dulles product, as Baylor trended heavily for him in the days before he was set to sign on Wednesday. Although Hookfin planned on officially ending his recruitment that afternoon, he decided to put off his decision, which gave Texas a chance to surge once again. And the staff took advantage, gaining momentum late Wednesday and throughout Thursday before landing Hookfin on the final day of the early signing period.
Hours before Hookfin was set to decide, for real, Baylor head coach Matt Rhule added another dimension to the wild recruitment by retweeting the trademark silent commitment tweet from Texas Director of Recruiting Bryan Carrington.
Well, this is something.

After attacking Carrington with his false equivalence, that Editor in Chief of SicEm365.com moved on to conspicuously sermonizing about the nature of truth after tweeting and then deleting a thinly-veiled accusation of Texas lying to Hookfin.
Just because something is not a lie does not mean that it is not deceptive. A liar knows that he is a liar, but one that speaks mere portions of truth in order to deceive is a craftsman of destruction.
— Colt Barber (@Colt_Barber) December 21, 2018
Longhorns Twitter reacted predictably.
So, yeah. Quite a recruitment.
With Hookfin in the mix, the Longhorns, and more specifically, offensive line coach Herb Hand’s haul features a trio of four-star offensive tackle talents, as Hookfin joins four-star prospects Tyler Johnson and Javonne Shepherd.
Burnt Orange Nation’s Joe Hamilton detailed what Hookfin brings to the table:
Hookfin is a gifted player that is equipped with astonishing qualities that will translate to the college level exceedingly. The newly Texas commit is well-versed within his technique at the offensive tackle position. Hookfin plays with a solid base and active feet while in pass protection, and is able to use his long arms with a combination of his quick hands while run blocking. His towering size, skilled athleticism, and production on the field are just a few indicators of what type of player Hookfin can be during his tenure at Texas. There’s obviously a lot of work to be done, but if Hookfin can continue to pack on a substantial amount weight and strength (particularly to the upper body), continue to evolve his technique, and develop a consistent mean-streak; he could be a player that makes a lot of noise while wearing burnt orange.
The addition is hugely important for the Longhorns. Not only because Hooking is a high-level athlete with significant upside, but because Texas only signed one offensive lineman on Wednesday and will have to fight to hold on to the commitment of Houston North Forest’s Javonne Shepherd, who elected not to sign during the early period.
Ranked as the nation’s No. 370 player and No. 32 offensive tackle, per the 247Sports Composite, the 6’5, 270-pound Hookfin now becomes the 22nd signee in the 2019 class, which currently ranks No. 9 nationally and No. 2 in the Big 12.

The University of Texas, Oak View Group agree to build ‘world-class’ on-campus arena

The $338 million venue will become an on-campus replacement for the Frank Erwin Center.
The University of Texas and “a group led by the Oak View Group” have reached an innovated deal to construct a world-class arena on campus as a replacement for the 41-year-old Frank Erwin Center, the school announced on Thursday.
“UT’s historic agreement with this highly regarded company will result in a modern arena on campus for our students, alumni, supporters and the Austin community,” said UT Austin President Gregory L. Fenves. “The arena will provide for an unforgettable UT basketball experience and represent the best of our university.”
Twitter: @TexasLonghorns
Expected to be completed in 2021, the state-of-the-art, $338 million venue, which will come at no cost to the school or the public as part of a 35-year agreement, will serve as the new home for men’s and women’s basketball games, in addition to hosting graduations, concerts, and other events, the school announced.
“What a great day for the future of Texas Basketball! Everyone in our program is extremely excited to see things move forward with today’s announcement,” Texas men’s basketball head coach Shaka Smart said in a statement. “I want to thank President Fenves and Chris Del Conte for their leadership and vision on this project. We all want to give our players a true home court advantage for every home game. For our students and fans, this new arena will create a completely new and improved game day experience. This is a major step forward for our program.”
‘We are thrilled that our Women’s Basketball program soon will have a new home,” said Karen Aston, Texas head women’s basketball coach. “We all will feel an enormous amount of excitement playing in an arena that is closer to the center of campus and our students and faculty. I want to thank President Fenves and Chris Del Conte for their leadership. We have all the trust in our administration in forming a plan that we know will put the student-athletes and fans first. I appreciate all those who are making this possible.”
In hopes of providing a more intimate fan experience, the new arena will be designed to seat 10,000 during basketball games and can expand to 15,000 seats for events such as concerts and shows. Students will now have seating around the floor instead of only behind the baskets.
“This is a truly wonderful opportunity for The University of Texas, our basketball programs and the City of Austin,” said UT Vice President and Athletics Director Chris Del Conte. “We’re building one of the nation’s finest arenas that will provide an awesome home court advantage for our men’s and women’s basketball programs. The 10,000-seat facility will bring our fans and students close to the action and provide an exciting and engaging game day experience. On top of that, it will have the capacity to expand to 15,000 when needed and be a big-time concert venue that draws premier performers to our great city.”
The arena will be located on campus adjacent from Darrell K Royal—Texas Memorial Stadium south of Mike A. Myers Stadium between Red River Street and Robert Dedman Drive.
