iPad Air 2 benchmark reveals 3-core CPU and 2GB of RAM
Apple iPad Air 2 made a trip to the popular Geekbench benchmark and revealed juicy bits about itself. The freshly announced full-size tablet from Cupertino sports 2GB of RAM and rather curious 3-core CPU. While 2GB of RAM are hardly a surprise due to a number of leaks that suggested the memory bump, the CPU setup surely is a curious one. Past iPad models have stuck to a dual-core CPU. The Geekbench score is quite impressive too - it clearly indicates that the iPad Air 2 is quite a performer. We will reserve final judgements for our full review, but, at a quick glance, the 4477 score is the highest we've seen. Doubling the RAM in the iPad Air 2 is likely a step to accommodate the previously rumored split-screen multitasking. The latter is expected to appear on the slate via a future update. Source...

Windows 10 Technical Preview Gets Its First Update
Microsoft used the Windows Blog today to announce the availability of the first update to the Windows 10 Technical Preview, which was announced just three weeks ago. The new build is 9860, and contains several new features as well as bug fixes.
I have been running Windows 10 since it was released. My initial install was into a Virtual Machine, and after using it as a VM for a while I installed it on my primary PC in order to get a good feel for it. I am still working on my initial thoughts for the new Windows, but, being a technical preview, it has a few bugs that made me switch back to Windows 8.1.
In the blog post, Microsoft lays out the fact that there are bugs and features still missing which will be added later. Some of the interfaces have regressed in style and function as the new interfaces are being finished. While this is generally a normal process for software development, we do not normally get such early access to a pre-release version of Windows, so we are also along for the ride. Windows 8, for example, had a very early developer preview, and then a consumer preview came later which added a lot of additional features and functionality. This round, the features will be added to the current preview for all of the people in the Windows Insider program to get a taste of them.
The first big new feature, which debuted on Windows Phone 8.1, is Action Center. The Windows 10 build is adding this as a notification center, but at the moment is only enabling basic functionality. The quick actions, prominent in Windows Phone, will be coming later. Action Center is now available in the System Tray for easy access. One nice feature is that it will be available to desktop apps as well as Universal Apps. I expect it to also carry the Windows Phone customizations so you can select which apps you want to display in the notification list as well, in the event you have an app that likes to steal the show.
Action Center is not the only feature from Windows Phone to come to Windows 10. Battery Saver is also present in the new build. As with Windows Phone, you can set this to be on which reduces background tasks, or you can have it set to come on automatically when the battery is at a certain percentage. Right now, the latter settings are greyed out.
Yet another Windows Phone feature which helps you keep track of data usage is Data Sense, which is also new to this build. Data Sense keeps track of all wireless network data use, and can keep cellular based connections in check by limiting how much data is available and giving the user a graphical listing of how much data is remaining, as well as which apps are consuming the most packets. Hopefully they add the ability to track wired network traffic as well.
Windows 10 focuses a lot on the keyboard and mouse, so Microsoft has added many new keyboard shortcuts for those that like to keep their hands on their typing device:
- Snapping window: WIN + LEFT or RIGHT (can be used with UP or DOWN to get into quadrants)
- Switch to recent window: ALT + TAB (unchanged) – Hold shows new Task view window view, let go and switches to app.
- Task view: WIN + TAB – New Task view opens up and stays open.
- Create new virtual desktop: WIN + CTRL + D
- Close current virtual desktop: WIN + CTRL + F4
- Switch virtual desktop: WIN + CTRL + LEFT or RIGHT
- Move active app to another monitor: WIN + SHIFT + LEFT or RIGHT
Virtual desktops are also new to Windows 10, and based on user feedback, Microsoft has added an animation to make it easier for a user to know when they are switching destkops. This was one suggestion which was added from over 250,000 pieces of feedback already generated by the preview. Microsoft goes into detail about how the process works and explains why some feedback may take longer to add to the build than others.
Windows 10 build 9860 now offers users earlier access to some of the code. In the PC Settings, you can select which line of Preview Builds you want. Some people will want every update as soon as it is available, whereas others may want to hold off and wait for more of the bugs to be worked out first. Windows 10 is accommodating all of these users in the preview builds by allowing you to choose how fast you get the new code.
Windows 10 is certainly a big departure from Windows 8, and not just in desktop use. Having such early access to the previews, and having Microsoft actively requesting and implementing user feedback is a big change from the Steven Sinofsky (former President of the Windows Division) ways. While the technical preview is generally pretty good, it is not as polished as something like Windows 7 or 8.1, but if you want to check it out, visit preview.windows.com and sign up.
My copy of Windows 10 is updating right now to the new build, and once it is completed I hope to have another post with initial thoughts of the new Windows soon.

Xiaomi Mi 4 and Mi Pad getting price cuts
Szdani88tul dragak xd
It seems that Xiaomi has reconsidered the prices of its Xiaomi Mi 4 flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi Pad and the Xiaomi TV. Tmall, an online storefront of Xiaomi, has put question marks in the prices of those three, Xiaomi headphones and a battery pack. Finally the MiBox has already been discounted. The Xiaomi Mi 4 was priced CNY 1,999 ($325), but that coincides with higher-specced Meizu MX4, Oppo Find 7 and IUNI U3, the three of which have bigger, higher-res screens. There are sources who claim that a 7 is hiding behind the question mark which would put the new price at CNY 1,799 ($294). The Tegra K1-packing, iPad mini lookalike tablet, the Xiaomi Mi Pad, was priced at the same CNY 1,999 point but it's not clear how much its price will drop (perhaps a similar CNY 1,799 target). The Xiaomi Mi Box was already knocked down from CNY 399 to CNY 299 (about a $15 discount to $50). The battery pack and headphones are getting discounts too, they already cost under CNY 100. Xiaomi Mi TV 2 battery pack headphones &bulll Mi Box The Xiaomi Mi TV 2 is an Android-powered 49" UHD TV and it started at $3,999 ($650), a surprisingly low price for a 4K TV set, but the price will drop by a few hundred yuan soon.

Android 5.0 Lollipop gets a “Flappy Android” Easter egg

Earlier today we looked at a leak discussing Google’s plans for Android Lollipop distribution, which mentioned that system images for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 were due out by the end of the week. We wondered briefly if that might mean a stealth Saturday release, but just hours later Google made the files available. Well, we didn’t get formal Android 5.0 factory images for these models, at least, but instead an updated version

Nexus 9 Tablet Gets A First Hands-on Video; Obtains A 54.000 Score In AnTuTu
Szdani8854k elmegy xd
These days on the tablet market we had a couple of changes, more precisely two of the most popular brands announced their new flagship tablets called Google Nexus 9 and Apple iPad Air 2. Today, we have the chance to see one of the first hands-on videos with the newly HTC Nexus 9 that is below.
This video is presented by the guys from VnReview who received a test unit model of the Nexus 9 tablet. In terms of dimensions, this tablet weighs 430 grams and measures only 7.9 mm in thickness, making it very easy to hold in hands. While the side bezels are thin, the ones from above and under the screen are a little bit thick, elements that makes the tablet easier to hold in landscape mode.
As we can see, the Nexus 9 brings 2 front-facing stereo speakers, an LED flash and a protruding 8-megapixel camera on the back that is a little big compared to other sensors found on tablets. We can see that the tablet was also tested in AnTuTu where it got over 54.000 points. Will you buy this new device once available?

Tegra K1 (Denver) and Nexus 9 benchmarked
The Tegra K1 comes in two versions - 32-bit and 64-bit - but they are more different than NVIDIA's naming scheme suggest. The one we've tested in the Xiaomi MiPad and that powers the NVIDIA Shield tablet is based on four Cortex-A15 cores. The one in the new Nexus 9 tablet, however, is the interesting one - it's based on NVIDIA's first custom processor core design, dubbed Denver. The processor has only two cores but similar to Apple's Ax chipsets they are noticeably more powerful than their Cortex and Krait counterparts. The Nexus 9 was just announced yesterday so there are no reviews out but there is a Geekbench 3 score. It shows impressive single-core performance - the 2.2GHz Cortex-A15 in the NVIDIA Shield manages 1,088 while the Denver core scores 1,903. .jrGraphContainer { background: none !important; border-bottom: 1px solid #eee !important;} ul.jrGraph { left: 40px !important; } ul.jrGraphControls { padding: 0; margin-left: -10px !important; } JRGRAPH_EXPANDABLE_VERSION = true; Geekbench 3 (single-core) Nexus 9 1807 iPhone 6 1625 NVIDIA Shield 1088 Moto X (2014) 977 OnePlus One 968 Sony Xperia Z2 912 Galaxy S5 910 HTC One (M8) 907 LG G3 902 The multi-core tests even out with the quad-cores, but still maintains a small lead over the likes of Snapdragon 801. Ekkora a Nexus 6 a konkurensek mellett

Google Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 European pricing pops up
The Nexus-related leaks today just keep on coming and the latest one refers to the Motorola-made Nexus 6 and HTC-produced Nexus 9 pricing. The pricing details in question originate from German retailers Media Markt and Saturn. The Nexus 6 will be available in two color and storage options. Both the 32GB and 64GB models will be available in black and white and will retail for 569 and 649, respectively. Note, that the Nexus 6 won't sport a microSD card slot. As for the HTC Nexus 9, its base Wi-Fi 16GB model will retail for 399, while the 32GB model sans LTE will cost 489. The high-end model with LTE and 32GB of storage will go for 569. All models are available in black and white. Admittedly, the pricing of the two devices isn't what Nexus customers have been accustomed to. The higher prices are a direct result of the premium specifications that the two devices tout. The Motorola Nexus 6 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset with a 2.65GHz quad-core Krait 450 CPU inside and 3GB of RAM. The front of the phone houses a 5.9" QHD display as well as stereo speakers. The battery is rumored to be 3,200mAh and the main camera is 13MP with OIS and dual LED flash. The specifications of the HTC Nexus 9 are equally high-end with an 8.9-inch 2,048 x 1,440 display, a 64-bit Nvidia Tegra K1 chipset, an 8 MP rear camera, a 3 MP front snapper, and dual front-facing speakers. It will weigh 480g and will come with a brushed aluminum frame, and not an all-metal design. Both devices were rumored to go official today, so stay tuned! Source |...
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Review
At this point, the Galaxy Note line needs little introduction. After all, the Galaxy Note is Samsung’s biggest success in mobile. While Apple redefined the smartphone and tablet segment, Samsung defined the phablet segment. Despite widespread skepticism, the original Galaxy Note was a massive success. Combined with the Galaxy S2, 2011 was a watershed year for Samsung as they leapfrogged other Android OEMs. Since then, we’ve seen continuous improvement from year to year with each Galaxy Note. While there were competitors, Samsung managed to hold on to their first-mover advantage for multiple generations. However, with the release of Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus we see one of the first significant threats to Samsung’s dominance of this segment.
This is our review of the Galaxy Note 4.
