In the "Jim'll Paint It", artist Jim will paint — in Microsoft Paint! — absolutely anything you want. Like "Please paint me Robocop at the checkout in Tesco, trying to decide if its worth 10p for a bag for life. He has bought a shitload of Soreen so he's going to need something sturdy."

Here’s a breakdown of the process I took in order to try and achieve that goal:
1. First, I did some research on Web Design Goodies in order to familiarise myself with the website, find out what it was all about and to see what “goodies” it had to offer.
2. Started the ideation process by looking up the definition of the word ‘goodies’. This is something I often do at the start of a logo design project because I find that certain descriptive words help trigger new thoughts and ideas.
3. Wrote a list of words associated with the words ‘web design’ and ‘goodies’.
4. Used the list of associated words to help generate ideas for the logo mark, which I then sketched out on paper.
5. Took what was initially my favourite idea, which was to use curly braces ({ – used to surround declaration groups in CSS) to form the handle of a goody bag, and did a couple of mock ups in Illustrator.
6. That idea wasn’t really working so I went back to the drawing board and found myself leaning towards the idea of symbolising ‘candy’ (a synonym of ‘goodies’) or something similar that would fit the description of being ‘desirable’ or ‘pleasant’.
7. I sketched out some more ideas before eventually landing on the concept of again using curly braces but this time to form the icing on top of a cupcake.
8. I then mocked up the idea in illustrator.
9. Happy with the result, I polished up the design and added a few subtle details.
10. Chose an appropriate colour scheme.
11. And finally, added the accompanying type using a simple sans-serif that wouldn’t distract from or clash with the mark itself.
Myself and the guys at Inspired Network are more than happy with result. What do you think of the new logo? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

I got dressed in my traditional Indian regalia, but there was a man, he was the producer of the whole show. He took that speech away from me and he warned me very sternly. “I’ll give you 60 seconds or less. And if you go over that 60 seconds, I’ll have you arrested. I’ll have you put in handcuffs.”
- Sacheen Littlefeather in Reel Injun (2009), dir. Neil Diamond.
They were MAD, CONFUSED AND PRESSED that Marlon Brando would betray White Supremacy in this way.
To this very day, they are TWISTED over this.
And when Littlefeather got up there and READ THEM FOR FILTH, they GAGGED. For eons.So I imagine there are people like me out there who’ve never even heard of Marlon Brando and are extremely confused over why this is important.
Marlon Brando was the Don in The Godfather, and in 1973, he was nominated for and won an Academy Award for it. However, he was also a huge Natives rights activist, and boycotted the ceremony because he felt that Hollywood’s depictions of Native Americans in the media led to the Wounded Knee Incident (which I was always taught as “the second massacre at Wounded Knee” but apparently that’s not the real name). He sent Sacheen Littlefeather, an Apache Native rights activist, in his stead. Wikipedia’s article on her explains the rest:
Brando had written a 15-page speech for Littlefeather to give at the ceremony, but when the producer met her backstage he threatened to physically remove her or have her arrested if she spoke on stage for more than 60 seconds.[5] Her on-stage comments were therefore improvised. She then went backstage and read the entire speech to the press. In his autobiography My Word is My Bond, Roger Moore (who presented the award) claims he took the Oscar home with him and kept it in his possession until it was collected by an armed guard sent by the Academy.
That is what this gifset is about.
You have GOT to read up on this. The Wounded Knee Incident, Marlon Brando and Sacheen Littlefeather, Anna Mae Aquash. ALL OF IT.
Her name was known in my house, I hope it’s known in many, many more in the future.

The collection of photos titled "Higgs Boson - Le Monde" [zimandzou.fr] by French graphic design office Zim & Zou was created to illustrate an article in a magazine of the newspaper Le Monde.
The depicted paper and tinfoil -based infographic artefacts each illustrate a specific characteristic of the Higgs Boson phenomenon. For instance, in one graph, colorful balloons - representing the boson - hold up other, smaller particles, to illustrate how the Higgs boson gives other particles their mass. Another photo shows a puzzle-like circle to denote how the Higgs Boson is the "final puzzle piece" in understanding the matter that makes up the universe.
