Sunday was International Women's Day, yet one company in Indonesia found itself in hot water with plenty of them that day for the sportswear label shown above. Salvo Sports Apparel got a negative response to the washing instructions on the label for a men's sportswear item, which suggested that the men hand their dirty items over to women instead of bothering themselves with silly details like laundering care instructions.

The 25th anniversary of popular classic The Princess Bride inspired lead Cary Elwes to write a book about the making of the movie. The book features interviews from almost all of the cast and crew, with the exception of André the Giant, who had passed on by then. Elwes' book, As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride, is the source for this collection of facts about the film. Here are two anecdotes about André:
"5. ANDRE THE GIANT COULD REALLY, REALLY DRINK.
Three bottles of cognac and 12 bottles of wine reportedly made him just a little tipsy. When the cast would go out for dinner, Andre—who, according to Robin Wright, ordered four appetizers and five entrees—would drink out of a 40-ounce beer pitcher filled with a mix of liquors, a concoction he called "The American."
6. AND HE HAD AN UNCONVENTIONAL METHOD FOR LEARNING HIS LINES.
Reiner and Goldman met Andre, then a famous wrestler, at a bar in Paris. "I brought him up to the hotel room to audition him. He read this three-page scene, and I couldn’t understand one word he said," Reiner recalls. "I go, ‘Oh my God, what am I going to do? He’s perfect physically for the part, but I can’t understand him!’ So I recorded his entire part on tape, exactly how I wanted him to do it, and he studied the tape. He got pretty good!"

If you are only familiar with Muhammad Ali in his later years, suffering the effects of Parkinson’s, here’s a reminder of what a silver-tongued self-promoter he was in his prime. In this press conference at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in 1974, a few months prior to his world championship fight with George Foreman, Ali explains how good he is, in terms that can only be described as poetry.

Sign vandalism is so, so wrong…unless it leads to more hilarious pictorial content for the internet!
Those who vandalize with spray paint and such are often trying to make a name for themselves in the street art scene, but the anonymous people who vandalize signs are just trying to bring some funny to our otherwise boring lives.
These unsung heroes aren’t worried about fame or Banksy-esque fortune- they’ve spotted signs and plaques that are a few words or images short of perfection and simply filled in the blanks.
Sign vandals we salute you, so long as your work benefits the good humor of all mankind!
In the little-remembered movie Punchline, Tom Hanks shows us the depressing life of struggling stand-up comedians. Now he’s appearing in a documentary that also associates the connection between the gig and misery, appropriately titled Misery Loves Comedy. In it, as seen in the trailer above, he compares getting laughs on stage to doing crack cocaine — or rock cocaine, he’s unsure.
What that implies is that there’s a hard crash following that amazing high (not that I know what happens after you do coke). The idea of the sad clown is an idea for a reason, and maybe this film doesn’t tell us much of what we don’t already know, but it promises to do so hilariously and from a whole ton of perspectives.
Misery Loves Comedy seems to pack the most comedic geniuses in one movie since The Aristocrats, which is fitting since they both played Sundance exactly a decade apart. Another one of their own, Kevin Pollak, directed this doc, and as you can also see in the trailer above, it received some great reviews at the festival back in January. FSR publisher Neil Miller is among those who had positive things to say, such as these words:
For a talking heads documentary, it’s quite populated. But the stories and the people are fascinating, especially for anyone who loves the craft of comedy. To see the likes of Lewis Black and Jimmy Fallon musing similarly about the failures of their careers — or as Black says, “you have to be willing to watch yourself die” — is illuminating. There’s no denying that any life lived “on the road,” be it music, comedy or traveling circus, is difficult. But in comedy, there’s something else. A deeper sense of misery that takes over when one walks off stage. That’s where misery and comedy meet for many of Pollak’s subjects. To be in control of an audience is the height of their happiness, to lose that is to plunge instantly back into the darkness.
In the end, Pollak’s film seems less about answering the question and more about the journey. It’s great to spend time with these comedians as they tell stories about the good times and the bad.
Tribeca Film picked up Misery Loves Comedy out of Sundance and will release the doc next month, first on iTunes on April 14th then in theaters on April 24th. Check out an alphabetical list of the more than 75 people who appear in the movie:

To promote the release of The Neighbors, Tommy Wiseau broke his characteristic silence yesterday to field questions from his fans during a Reddit Ask Me Anything. And by “field questions,” I mean, respond to perceived taunts by spitting out irrelevant orders and demands while still finding time to squeeze in delusions of grandeur. So pretty much everything you’d expect from America’s most perplexing and unique filmmaker.
On doing a follow-up to The Room: “Yes. We are doing sequel. And also 3-d, eventually.”
On Claudette and her breast cancer scare: “Yes, she survived.
“Oh yeah, we have many Claudettes in the country, with cancer – again, one of the things I like it when people ask why we don’t talk about it, yeah, is because someday we have a cure for it. Because it’s a very private thing, you know? Many Claudettes in America relate to cancer.”
On how is his sex life: “I enjoy it erryday!”
On where he was born: “I was born on Planet Earth.
“Moveonnextquestion.
“And I’m American, and proud of it.”
On Lisa: “First of all, you can compare Lisa to Eleezabeth Taylor, to when she did CLEOPATRA. The ladies, they don’t have to wear jeans, they can wear dresses to be very powerful.
“So Lisa’s character is very powerful. She represents American society.
“So that’s my answer. Move on, next one!”
On whether or not the flowershop dog is real: “Oh yea, ABSOLUTELY yeah! That was a real dog! My goodness, is real dog! It was a little sleepy!”
On other future projects: “I am working on new project, it’s called THE FORECLOSURE, we will be casting soon, we have already soon, and we have a vampire movie. And THE NEIGHBORS, we have 12 episodes of THE NEIGHBORS.”
On his favorite James Cameron film: “I’m – listening – THE ROOM, next question!”
On James Franco’s adaptation of The Disaster Artist: “Aw, I support him 100% perfect. He is very cool guy. But at this time, we have agreement, I cannot talk about it. He is very dedicate actor. We have a lot in common James Dean for example.
“The answer is yes. I am involved, 100%. I am part of it. Whatever, that.
“And agaaaain, I’m part of production, but I can’t talk about it. So that’s all I can say right now.”
On his spirit animal: “TIGER. Why? Because I love tigers. They are very vicious. And sometimes I am very vicious too.”
On his favorite line he’s written, and whether it’s You’re tearing me apart, Lisa: “I love this quote. And also, ‘WHAT A DAY!’ I like that one. It’s from Charlie, in THE NEIGHBORS. And also, I see across America, people quoting me. ‘OH, WHAT A DAY!'”

Tis the season for March Madness and lots and lots of college basketball. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver took notice and ran a pretty epic twenty-minute rant on the state of the NCAA and student athletes. What’s most remarkable is that every point Oliver makes in his monologue is fairly well-grounded and true.
You might not have the inclination to get after 20 minutes of preaching, but it’s worthwhile to check in on for just a few minutes. If you had any tolerance for the NCAA, be prepared to say goodbye to it.
It seems the tides are quickly turning against the NCAA, so we’ll see if any of these studies serve as a death blow in the near future.
Benedict Cumberbatch is a pretty busy guy these days, what with fighting off women and getting awards for playing British codebreakers and/or dragons. However, he still makes time for Sherlock, the series that shot him to stardom. The show is largely dormant due to the stars’ fame, but they’re getting the band back together for a Christmas special.
And they’re going full-on Dickens in the special, going back to the 1880’s ’round Christmastime.
So we’ll get to see Sherlock exist in his original setting, which isn’t exactly why we signed up for this BBC remake, but it’s plenty fun for an episode. We got Cumberbatch in the double-billed hat and cloak, and presumably some other fun stuff from the era as well.
We don’t have a release date yet, but since it’s filming now, we can bet it’s going to be out this year…I dunno, maybe around Christmastime?

The Internet isn’t all mashups and putting cats into things. It’s mostly mashups and putting cats into things, but there still remains that small portion of truly heartwarming moments where pop culture is able to help elevate people’s experiences. Such is the case with this video in which a child gets presented his new bionic arm by the world’s foremost (comic book) authority on such things. Robert Downey, Jr. suited up (not in that suit, but still looking sharp) to meet Alex, a 7-year old born with a partially developed arm, and help break in his new robotic arm that just so happens to look a lot like a piece of Iron Man’s armor.
The whole endeavor is part of Microsoft’s #CollectiveProject, which brought Tony Stark into the same room as Albert Manero, a former college student turned founder of Limbitless Solutions which seeks ...

Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain has been profiled a few times in film, but no movie has ever had the access that directoror Brett Morgen had to create Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck. Morgen enjoyed the full cooperation of Cobain’s friends and family, and was able to utilize intimate family videos and films, Cobain’s artwork (some of which is animated), and other materials never before seen by the public to create a profile of the musician. You can see it all in brief in the new Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck trailer, below.
Trailer via Yahoo UK. Here’s how the Sundance Film Festival described the doc when it premiered there this past January:
Experience Kurt Cobain like never before in the first fully authorized portrait of the famed rock music icon. Director Brett Morgen expertly blends Cobain’s personal archive of art, music, and never-before-seen home movies with animation and revelatory interviews with his family and closest confidants. Following Kurt from his earliest years in Aberdeen, Washington, through the height of his fame, a visceral and detailed cinematic insight of an artist at odds with his surroundings emerges.
While Cobain craved the spotlight even as he rejected the trappings of fame, his epic arc depicts a man who stayed true to his earliest punk rock convictions, always identifying with the “outsider” and ensuring the music came first.
We’re not sure how it took so long for this to happen, given how game Michael Bolton has been about other projects, but he has finally taken a turn at playing that other Michael Bolton. Funny Or Die recreated the Michael Bolton scenes from Office Space, originally starring David Herman as Michael “No, it’s just a coincidence” Bolton, with a few minor substitutions by the singer. It’s a great video, but for our money, we don’t know if it gets any better than when he sings “When A Man Loves A Woman.”
In a move that’s probably both promotional and filming-related, Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson walked the runway as their Zoolander characters—Derek Zoolander and Hansel, respectively—at today’s Valentino show in Paris. Both clad elaborate brocade and overcoats, the pair closed the Fall/Winter 2015 Women’s Collection show, bringing full, fierce blue steel to the runway during a somewhat serious walk-off. The strategic strut also came with news of an official February 12, 2016 release date for Zoolander 2, which—given this stunt and the movie’s IMDb page—is probably filming right now.
Mike Rosenstein, who works at Red Hour Films with Stiller, has been Instagramming a number of behind-the-scenes pictures from the filming as well, and they’re totally so hot right now.
Justin Theroux wrote the screenplay for Zoolander 2 and is directing. Both Penelope Cruz and Will Ferrell are attached to star, and ...
In some parallel dimension, the gods of beer and comics conceived a spawn. A gruesome hybrid of alcohol, malt, heavily shadowed graphics and a bad attitude. Actually, there was nothing truly revolting about this beer, other than what I paid for shipping.
Rogue Ales has teamed with Dark Horse Comics to celebrate 21 years of Mike Mignola’s signature creation, Hellboy. It came complete with a new Hellboy drawing, wielding an axe and wearing his trademark battle damaged coat, by Mignola adorned on the label.
The beer itself was a deep red, almost copper, color. It produced a medium sized head and left a lot of lacing and residual foam on the top. It gave off scents of light, bready malt and a slight sourness as well.
Flavorwise, the predominant trait was malt. It was slightly sweet in nature, which blended well with the hops that finished it out. The finish was surprisingly hoppy, but not overly so. In fact I really enjoyed the mix of malt and hop here. On the palate, I felt a good deal of carbonation.
Overall, this was a damn good beer. While not bursting with unique flavors, I give Rogue Ale credit for creating a really good balance between malt and hops.
What to Drink This To:
You cannot drink this beer without Hellboy at your side. Hellboy has been one of my favorite comics since I started reading them. The original 12 volumes of Hellboy will always remain mainstays of my collection, as I consider them some of the best comics ever produced. I am a huge fan of Mignola’s distinctive art style and the world he created within the Hellboy universe (B.P.R.D. if you want to get technical). Generally, I just love Hellboy himself, especially his quick wit and curtly humorous attitude. If I had to pick one volume of Hellboy to recommend…well, it’s tough, so I am going to suggest three: the initial story, Seed of Destruction; what I consider the best Hellboy arc, Conqueror Worm; and Weird Tales Vol. 1, which features some really great one-offs.
Dylan Gonzalez happens to love beer and comic books and luckily found a place to write about both because he has no idea how to actually make money in the real world. He lives in a cave in New Jersey. Tweet him at @BeardedPickle, follow his own beer blog at http://boozegeek.tumblr.com/ or email him at dylan.gonzalez1990@gmail.com.
