Spiele für Smartphones und Tablets ("mobile Geräte") bleiben einer der stärksten Wachstumsmotoren für den deutschen Games-Markt. Der Umsatz mit besagten Apps ist im vergangenen Jahr um 30 Prozent auf 409 Millionen Euro gewachsen. 2015 wurden noch 315 Millionen Euro umgesetzt, 2014 betrug der Umsatz 241 Millionen Euro. Damit ist dieses Segment innerhalb von zwei Jahren um rund 70 Prozent gewachsen. Diese Daten gab der BIU - Bundesverband Interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware heute auf Basis von Erhebungen des Marktforschungsunternehmens GfK bekannt.
"Spiele-Apps bleiben einer der stärksten Wachstumsmotoren für den deutschen Games-Markt und eine der beliebtesten Anwendungen auf Smartphones und Tablets in Deutschland", sagt Felix Falk, BIU-Geschäftsführer. "Das vielfältige und jederzeit erreichbare Angebot an Spiele-Apps hat Millionen Menschen in Deutschland zu begeisterten Spielern gemacht."
17,3 Millionen Menschen spielen in Deutschland aktuell auf Smartphones, 11,5 Millionen nutzen Spiele-Apps auf ihren Tablets. Der Anteil der Spieler, die täglich auf ihren Smartphones spielen, ist innerhalb eines Jahres um 600.000 auf 8,1 Millionen Menschen gestiegen. Das Tablet nutzen hierzulande 3,9 Millionen Menschen täglich zum Spielen.

Der Gesamtmarkt, bestehend aus Computer- und Videospielen, Gebühren für Online-Netzwerke, Hybrid Toys sowie Spielekonsolen und Peripherie, entwickelte sich 2016 insgesamt stabil: Wie 2015 wurden auch 2016 2,9 Milliarden Euro in Deutschland in diesem Bereich umgesetzt."

PlayStation 4's latest system update is available to download now, but don't expect it to do too much. The patch notes consist of one line that simply reads, "This system software update improves the quality of the system performance." The patch weighs in at around 320 MB.
Before that, every PS4 user received version 4.5 in March. It introduced Boost Mode for PS4 Pro and added support for external hard drives.
The Boost Mode feature aims to improve the quality and performance of games that have not been patched to support PS4 Pro. "This can provide a noticeable frame rate boost to some games with variable frame rates, and can provide frame rate stability for games that are programmed to run at 30 Hz or 60 Hz," Sony explained at the time.
“We no longer produce and sell digital cameras,” said a Samsung official on condition of anonymity. “But we will create a new camera product category to continue the business.” (…)

Mai), Neogeo Arcade Archives, Sonic Forces sowie Sonic Mania weitergeht. Danach werden die Switch-Umsetzungen von Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Sine Mora EX, Monopoly und Payday 2 gezeigt. Abgeschlossen wird die Direct-Ausgabe mit Splatoon 2 (28:20 Min). Last but not least: Die amiibos von Cloud, Corrin und Bayonetta (jeweils in zwei Varianten) werden ab dem 21. Juli im Handel erhältlich sein.

Get hyped for the sequel to the hit game about splatting ink and claiming turf, as the squid-like Inklings return in a colorful and chaotic 4 vs. 4 action shooter. For the first time, take Turf War battles on-the-go via local multiplayer in portable play styles. You can also compete in frenetic online matches like before. Two years have passed since the release of Splatoon, and two years have also passed in the game world, leading to an evolution in fashion trends and new styles of weapons and gear.
