We can cry because we're happy. We can cry because we're sad. We can cry because we're cutting onions. We can cry just because we need to cry. They're all completely different emotions... but are they different tears? Photographer Rose-Lynn Fisher wanted to find out in her series The Topography of Tears. She put dried tears from all different kinds of situations under the microscope to see what's different between them all.
In the future we should hope for all of our displays to be OLED; it's thin, light, deep with color, and energy efficient to boot. It's also incredibly expensive. That could soon change, though, thanks to a jumped-up inkjet printer.
After saying earlier this year that it wouldn't give up its anti-Google advertising campaign, Microsoft is upping the ante by selling "Scroogled" t-shirts, hats, and coffee mugs this holiday season.
Like the rest of the campaign, created by former Hillary Clinton operative Mark Penn, the eight items for sale in Microsoft's online store target Google for what Microsoft feels is its unfair invasion of user privacy in the pursuit of profits.

In the past, Microsoft has also targeted Google for allowing merchants to pay for their products to have a better chance of showing up in Google Shopping search results.

On the Steam In-Home Streaming group, Valve shared a few pages of details on how its streaming setup will work. They started off by explaining what streaming is, and why you would want to use it:
"Any two computers in a home can be used to stream a gameplay session and this can enable playing games on systems that would not traditionally be able to run those games. For example, a Windows only game could be streamed from a Windows PC to a Steam Machine running Linux in the living room. A graphically intensive game could be streamed from a beefy gaming rig in the office to your low powered laptop that you are using in bed. You could even start a game on one computer and move to a more comfortable location and continue playing it there."
