Microsoft has started rolling a major update for the Xbox One, which brings with it two new features, the New Xbox One Experience, which is based on Windows 10, and Xbox One Backward Compatibility. The New Xbox One Experience brings with it a new Dashboard and a new Guide. The focus here is on making everything faster, not just performance wise but more importantly, in reducing the number of steps involved in doing things. The guide helps out in this a lot. The guide is like a hub for all your friends, parties, messages, notifications, settings, and apps. The guide slides over from the left as an overlay on the Dashboard, in an app or even during a game, so you are never far away from important things. The other important thing is Xbox One Backward Compatibility. Now Xbox One users will be able to play over a hundred Xbox 360 games on their console, with more coming in the future. The Xbox 360 titles can be downloaded from the store if you had purchased them digitally in the past. If you have them on a disc, you have to enter the disc into the Xbox One, at which point the game will be downloaded from the store, with the disc acting as sort of a DRM. You can play multiplayer within these games with Xbox 360 owners and also have access to new Xbox One features, such as screenshots, in-home streaming, and Game DVR. November 11 Kínában a Singles  Day, ami az ázsiai Black Friday-nek felel meg. Mivel ezen napon a Huawei invitálásában Sencsenben voltam, így elsőként értesültem a vállalat eladási adatairól.

 

A nagy akciókat kínáló napon a legnagyobb kínai e-kereskedelmi oldalon, az Alibabán a Huawei volt az elsőszámú okostelefon értékesítő azzal, hogy nagyjából 1 millió darab készüléket adott el, amely egészen jó eredménynek számít. Ezen a napon 1,2 milliárd kínai jüan értékben vásároltak a felhasználók okostelefont, ami átszámítva 54 690 000 000 forintot jelent. Az információt Kevin Ho erősítette meg, a Huawei készülék ágazatának elnöke.

A Huawei kifejezetten elégedett az elért eredménnyel, de úgy látja, hogy ezt tovább lehet fokozni és a jövő év folyamán még több készüléket tud értékesíteni. Erre azért is van nagy lehetősége, mert a kínai felvevő piac is nő, az idei Singles Day-en 50%-kal többet vásároltak a felhasználók, mint tavaly.

A developer called Dmitry Grinberg, has ported Marshmallow to run on the Samsung-built Nexus S. He made a post explaining how he was able to build the software to run on outdated hardware. The Nexus S has a 1Ghz Qualcomm Hummingbird processor, 1GB of system partition (which was separate from the userdata partition), and 512MB of RAM - all of which presented as obstacles to supporting Marshmallow. Android phones today share the total internal storage partition with apps and files. Early versions of Android had two different partitions for storing apps (system) and storing photos (userdata). This meant that while your phone had 16GB of storage, you only had more or less 1GB to store firmware and apps. The memory and storage partitions have come a long way since then. The ART runtime also was an obstacle since it kept timing out upon installation of apps (Facebook, in particular, was taking too long to compile and timing out). Grinberg also provided patches to increase the ART runtime timeout and graphics language. Grinberg provides flashable ZIPs for those who want to experience Marshmallow on a 5 year old Nexus.
