Aaron Diaz, the creator of Dresdan Codak, has put together a proposal for new Legend of Zelda game where Zelda is the hero sent to rescue Prince Link. Here’s what he says on the topic:

Clockwork Empire is set 2,000 years after Twilight Princess, and is not a reboot, but simply another iteration in the Zelda franchise. It just so happens that in this case, Zelda is the protagonist. I’m a very big Zelda fan, and worked hard to draw from key elements in the continuity and mythos.

This concept work is meant to show that Zelda as a game protagonist can be both compelling and true to the franchise, while bringing new and dynamic game elements that go farther than being a simple gender swap.

Here’s my question: If Link is now the prince instead of the hero, wouldn’t this game be The Legend of Link and not another installment in the Zelda series?

Então você está aí se achando o rei do gado por mandar muito em Dark Souls (menos o nosso Fernando Mucioli. Ele pode). O que eu quero ver na real é você fechando o jogo da cobrinha. Aquele mesmo do seu Nokia indestrutível.

O nome original do jogo é Snake – não exatamente um exemplo de criatividade – e a partida foi completada em 13 minutos e 17 segundos. O GIF aqui embaixo mostra o feito impressionante em ritmo um acelerado, parecendo até que foi tudo maquinado por um computador, mas pode ter certeza que é tudo real. Como eu sei disso? Porque o GIF apareceu pela primeira vez em um fórum russo. E se tem alguém com habilidades sobreumanas para gabaritar esse game, com certeza ele é russo.

O jogo dá 100 bolinhas para a cobra comer, e ela cresce um total de 801 bloquinhos, um a mais do que a tela inteira comporta. A maestria do cara é admirável e visivelmente estratégica, dando todo um sentido mitológico ao jogo. É como se estivéssemos presenciando o nascimento de um unicórnio na vida real. Com arcos-íris duplos e tudo mais.

Se você estiver pensando, “Mas ah! Eu também consigo fazer isso”, já vou cortando logo o seu barato: não, você não consegue. A menos que você seja russo também, é claro.
