Mark Levin: Media Treat Mueller Like He Is a Judge — He Is a ‘Rogue Prosecutor’ Investigating Nothing
Thursday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” nationally syndicated talk show host Mark Levin questioned the role of special counsel Robert Mueller and the boundaries he has crossed with his investigation into alleged interference of Russia in the 2016 presidential election. According to Levin, Mueller has overstepped. Partial transcript as follows: HANNITY: Joining us now the host of CRTV Levin TV and the host of :Life, Liberty and Levin” right here on the Fox News Channel. As a matter of fact, this weekend, Governor Palin is going to be your guest on the show. I always liked Governor Palin. And we haven’t heard from her in a while. I look forward to watching, Mark. All right. So the big question now is what the president needs to do. Apparently, the president’s lawyers negotiated with the special counsel over the idea that the president would speak with Robert Mueller. The president himself is like I have nothing to hide. I’d speak with him. But if there is no underlying crime, if collusion is not a crime and the president has the right to fire Comey or anybody else and even Comey admitted as much, then the question is, you know, if they

Larry Kudlow: ‘We’re Not Running a Trade War,’ ‘Blame China’ Not Trump for Economic Turmoil
White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow spoke to the press pool on Friday and insisted that America is not in a trade war despite rising economic tensions with China.
As President Donald Trump considers authorizing $100 billion worth of tariffs on Chinese goods, Kudlow praised Trump for getting tough on China for their economic machinations and intellectual property theft.
Kudlow told reporters that he found out about the new tariffs last night. The longtime free trade advocate is standing behind the president’s position here, as Kudlow believes it’s time for Trump to tell China “enough is enough.”
“We’re not running a trade war,” Kudlow insisted. “Nothing’s happened, nothing has been executed … there’s no ‘there,’ there yet, but there will be.”
Kudlow continued to take questions about international trade, though he mostly continued to express bemusement with those saying Trump is leading the world into a trade war.
“Blame China,” Kudlow said. “Don’t blame the administration, don’t blame Japan, don’t blame Europe. Blame China because they have to put their best foot forward and act like a world power. Thus far they’re just blowing smoke.”
By the way, here’s how China is reacting to the tariff news:

Driver veers into oncoming traffic, causes major crash on I-110 Thursday
BATON ROUGE – Police say a driver heading in the wrong direction caused a serious crash on I-110 South at Hwy. 19 late Thursday.
The southbound lanes of the interstate were closed as BRPD investigated the crash. Baton Rouge Police say the driver of one of the vehicles veered into oncoming traffic from the northbound lanes, causing the collision.
Police could not say what caused the driver to cross over into the southbound lanes.
Authorities say two people were taken from the scene, one of whom is in critical condition.
The roadways has since reopened.

Business owner opens up after being tied up, robbed and shot
BATON ROUGE- A man is locked up tonight, accused of tying up five people, robbing them, and sexually assaulting one of them before ultimately taking off.
Investigators said 53-year-old William Garner is responsible. At least one other suspect is still at large.
William Garner was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Thursday
Business owner Dwayne Watkins is still recovering from his injuries. He was shot five times. Four other people inside were also tied up, and a female was sexually assaulted according to investigators.
Watkins still remembers the words he prayed to God.
"Please let me live through this," Watkins recalled. "Let me be able to see my wife and daughter again."
Watkins was checking on things on New Year's Day at his welding shop when things took an unexpected turn.
"Two guys came in with guns, masks, subdued us, tied us up, demanded money and shot me five times," Watkins said.
That's when Watkins remembers the suspects taking at least one female who was in the shop and bringing her upstairs. That's where she was sexually assaulted. After the suspects left, at least one victim managed to break free using a pocket knife and called police. Watkins remembers everyone thinking they were going to die.
"They were talking about killing everybody," Watkins said.
His life flashed before his eyes.
When authorities finally arrived, Watkins and the female victim went to the hospital. It's where a sexual assault kit was performed. According to a warrant for Garner's arrest, his DNA matched DNA that was already in the system.
Watkins said forgiveness has not come easy, even though he holds on to his faith tighter than ever.
"It got me to the point where I don't want to trust anybody anymore," Watkins said. "I hate to say it, but I've got a little vengeance in my heart."
Watkins said the thieves got away with about $1,000 in cash from his shop.
Garner is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder, rape, robbery and false imprisonment. The second suspect remains at large tonight.
New tax plan for bridge across Mississippi
BATON ROUGE- Would you vote for higher taxes if it paid for a new bridge across the Mississippi River? Voters in five parishes may soon get the chance.
State Senator Rick Ward (R-Port Allen) has proposed creating a special taxing district encompassing East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, and Iberville Parishes. If passed by the legislature this year, residents in the district would eventually vote on a sales or property tax that would pay for some or all of the bridge.
"I just thought it would be a good opportunity for the people of this region to try and fix our own problem," said Ward.
Private investors might also contribute, but that would likely result in some sort of toll on the bridge.
The failure of a statewide gas tax in the state legislature last year dimmed hopes for funding major projects like this.
Voters in East Baton Rouge Parish also rejected two different transportation tax initiatives over the last two years.
According to a state-funded Interstate 10 corridor study, a new bridge across the Mississippi River is one of three mega-projects needed to ease congestion in the capital region. The other two are a widened interstate through Baton Rouge and a loop around the city.
Officials with DOTD have said the environmental study currently being conducted on the interstate widening project will help determine the location of a new bridge.
Ward's bill would create a commission to determine the amount of tax needed for the project. Each parish would have a representative on the board who would work closely with DOTD.
It's unclear when a tax vote would be held. The bill has passed the Senate and is now on to the State House of Representatives.
