Good news for karuta fans may be on the horizon as josei manga magazine Be Love is teasing an announcement concerning Chihayafuru for its 9th 2015 issue, on sale April 15th. Yuki Suetsugu's 26 volume, award-winning ongoing was adapted into 2011 and 2013 TV series, leading to speculation that the news might be a third anime series.

Background and story
The highly anticipated second half of the famed visual novel-based anime, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works continues where the plot left off in the first half of the series, focusing on a group of masters fighting to obtain the holy grail with the help of their mystical servants, heroic sprits with great power from the ages past.
“Fuyuki City—a city surrounded by the ocean and the mountains becomes the setting for an age old ritual. To realize the mythical Holy Grail, which is said to grant any wish from its possessor, seven masters are given seven heroic spirits chosen by the Grail. These heroic spirits or servants are: Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin and Berserker. Each master will enter into a contract with their assigned servants and battle the other masters and servants to the death until only one pair remains…This is the ―Holy Grail War.”
Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works will be available to audiences in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Asia excluding China, Korea, India.

The tabletop gaming industry has a rich history of releasing joke products and silly articles for April Fools' Day, and this year is no different. Here are some of best, including Katanas & Trenchcoats, the brooding '90s throwback RPG you never knew you always wanted.
It's a sad day for fans of many classic anime, as AnimeSols.com has announced that they will be ceasing operation effective May 01, 2015.
Their final message to their supporters was posted on their website today. It reads:
This week we have shipped out the final packages from Creamy Mami 3-4 and Black Jack 2 to supporters. As you may have noticed, Anime Sols has not added any new projects for quite a while, focusing only on completing the goods which had already been funded. It saddens me to say that animesols.com will be shutting down on May 1st, 2015. The videos will remain up until for the next month if you would like to watch them. Thanks to everyone who pledged!
Although the timing is unfortunate, this is unlikely to be an April Fool's Day prank, as the official AnimeSols Twitter feed confirms:

Some of you may be wondering: “Who the heck are AnimeSols?” Likely, this lack of exposure was part of the problem.
AnimeSols was a Japanese business venture that combined catalog material from several high-profile animation studios (Tatsunoko Productions, Tezuka Productions, Studio Pierrot) as well as the Yomiuri Telecasting Corporation and several of its subsidiaries.
Their goal was to use crowd-funding initiatives to produce English-subtitled DVD home video releases of various anime TV shows that have proved popular in Japan, but had little exposure in North America. The AnimeSols web-site would also stream episodes of these shows, and for a while it was a literal treasure trove of classic animation, including such titles as:
Space Ace.
Yatterman.
Magical Angel Creamy Mami.
Black Jack TV.
And numerous others.
Sadly, it seems that their reach has exceeded their grasp, as several of the more ambitious projects failed to meet their funding goals. That, combined with a dwindling demand for physical media and the inability to carve out a niche in the extremely competitive market of streaming video, seems to have spelled the end for AnimeSols.
Sayonara, AnimeSols. You will be missed.

FUNimation has announced the acquisition of the streaming and home video license for Ninja Slayer, with the series form the makers of Little Witch Academia, Inferno Cop, and Kill la Kill joining their spring simulcast line-up.

Ninja Slayer’s origin is shrouded in mystery; although it originally appeared as a novel series posted on Twitter in Japan, legend has it that it was actually translated from an original English series from two enigmatic American creators, Bradley Bond and Philip Ninj@ Morzez, who are totally on the run from actual ninjas. Makoto Yukimura's (Vinland Saga) hard sci-fi manga Planetes will be returning to North America in a new omnibus edition from Dark Horse, manga hitting specialty comic shops December 23nd, 2015, and bookstores on the 22nd. This series about orbital debris collectors (think the stuff that caused all the havoc in Alfonso Cuarón's Gravity) won Japan's prestigious Seiun speculative fiction award in 2002 for Best Manga, then its anime adaptation won in 2005 for Best Dramatic Presentation.
Tokyopop previously released the series between 2003 and 2005, with the final Japanese collection split for a total of five volumes.

May 2-6, the 10th anniversary of Ryohgo Narita's Durarara!! light novels (which launch in April 2004) and the x2 anime adaptations will be celebrated with a "STREEEEET !! Territory of Exhibition" at Ikebukuro Sunshine City World Import Mart 4F Exhibition Hall A, which later stops at Osaka Prefecture City Suminoe-ku Nanko Kita May 15-17 and 22-24.
An assosicated menu will be offered at the Ikebukuro Animated Cafe May 1-June 29th, and goods will be offered at Animate Ikebukuro April 2-23-May 10th.
The exhibit will present a map the events of the series onto locations of Ikebukuro and feature creations of spots form the anime such as Raira Academy and Izaya's office.
Along with a visual featuring the characters in event t-shirts, the limited t-shirts will be sold at the event.
These will also be featured on clearfiles and the packaging for boxes of cookies.

As Death Parade ends, the series site has previewed the store exclusive incentives for its Blu-ray release. Amazon will be offering a conventional cloth poster, Sofmap has a typical mousepad and Animate has a clear file, but Yodobashi Camera gets into the spirit of things with a Quindecim bar spoon and Joshin Denki has a muddler from the afterlife drinking hole.

Last December, Kodansha Comics indicated that the North American release of Makoto Yukimura's historical fiction manga Vinland Saga was being suspended as of its fifth omnibus.
