by Sato

“The hardest part was getting the protagonist, who is ‘the player’ in the game, and making him into a character named ‘Makoto Yuki’ for the film, then figuring out how to integrate him into the story,” elaborates Akitaya.

David Goyer pitches a Sandman movie with Joseph Gordon-Levitt as lead?

by Rob Bricken

David Goyer pitches a Sandman movie with Joseph Gordon-Levitt as lead?

Okay, let me clarify that: David Goyer is definitely pitching a Sandman movie, and Badass Digest is reporting that The Dark Knight's Rises' Joseph Gordon-Levitt is somehow involved. It's possible that JGL wants to direct it, but it seems much more likely that might play Dream in such an adaptation (or both, hell).

New "comedy" video shows Einstein sexually assaulting Marie Curie

by George Dvorsky
Alainmendez

I thought it was funny. Maybe I'm just horrible.

Apparently It's Okay To Be Smart thinks it's okay to be sexist. The science-themed YouTube show is taking a ton of flak after releasing a video portraying Albert Einstein as a lecherous old man who can't keep his hands off Marie Curie during Thanksgiving dinner.

"Persona 4, Vol. 2" Listed on "Persona 4" Voice Actress' Résumé

by Joseph Luster
Alainmendez

I wonder how much people are going to be mad about more Persona 4 rather than Persona 5.

I can be like Saber burnout in Type-Moon fandom! Joy!

Rumors and speculation have really been hitting a fever pitch in regards to the next Persona project, and we should know what it's all about soon. The latest development involves voice actress Karen Strassman's online résumé, which lists both Persona 4, Vol. 2 and Golden 2 Persona 4.

An excerpt:

Strassman plays Nanako Dojima in Persona 4. Could this hint at the big Persona announcement being a direct follow-up to Persona 4 rather than a new numbered entry, Persona 5? Another clue comes from the recently updated teaser site, which adds Teddie to the boxes at the top of the page.

Atlus already confirmed a big Persona announcement set for Sunday, November 24, and recently launched a Nico Nico live-stream page that kicks off with a 72-hour countdown on November 21 at 20:00 Japan Time.

"Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children" Games Head to 3DS Virtual Console in Japan

by Joseph Luster

The Japanese Virtual Console on Nintendo 3DS is getting a pair of Shin Megami Tensei spin-offs in the form of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children Black Book and Red Book. Originally released for Game Boy Color in 2000, the simplified SMT games will arrive in Japan on November 11 for ¥600 ($6) each.

Black Book and Red Book both feature monster-collection and demon-fusing action, but they also each have different protagonists with connected stories.

A third game, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children White Book followed with a third protagonist, and the first two were later bundled together on PlayStation. Devil Children was also adapted into a TV anime series—which ran from 2000-2001 and was followed by a sequel—a manga tie-in, and a trading card game.

figma Armin joins the Attack On Titan brigade

by Martin Siggers

They're just not letting up, are they? We only got our first look at Levi the other day and already scans have revealed that the next Attack On Titan figma will be the adorably bowl-cutted Armin Arlert.

Though it's not confirmed yet, there's some talk swirling that Armin will be a WonFes exclusive, which would be an interesting decision on Max factory's part. Given they've got so many characters to choose from making at least one exclusive was a given, but it'd be surprising if such a main character was relegated to that status. Regardless, it's just speculation at this point. As soon as anything more concrete emerges we'll be on it.
