Scott Lord, torso,abdomen,

scottlordpoet shared this story from Scott Lord shared items on The Old Reader (RSS).

Hi,
of course I'm bench pressing and curling- curls are good with repetition, bench press is good with repetition and supplemnted with tricep work. The torso I've worked down to the last increase. The abdomen is a 200lb lift of fifteen reps. I've gained to where I weigh 142 after weighing 133-5 for more than 15 years.
I want the torso. I have the abdomen, I will get the bench press, I have the pulldown.

By the way, I was born in 1962, as you can see. silent film scott lord

Scott Lord Silent Film: Carol Dempster in Sally of the Sawdust (D.W. Griffith, 1925)

by noreply@blogger.com (Scott Lord on Silent Film, Scott Lord on Mystery Film)
Edward Wagenkneckt, in his volume The Films of D.W. Griffith, points out that ten reel film "Sally of the Sawdust" (1925) ,photographed by Harry Fischback and Hal Sintzernich and starring W.C. FIelds and actress Carol Dempster , was made by D.W. Griffith at Paramount but , at Griffith's behest, released through United Artists. Wagerneckt notes that the film features several sight gags involving W.C. Fields that are worth watching.
That year D.W. Griffith directed both W.C. Fields and Carol Dempster in a second ten reel film entitled "That Royle Girl", which is presumed to be a Lost Silent Film, with no surviving copies existing. Iris Barry, in her volume D.W. Griffith, American Film Master, notes that W.C. Fields played only a minor comedy part in the film. Originally slated as "a small film" with sucenes involving a statue of Abraham Lincoln, a $ 100,000 cyclone was added to the film, putting it over budget.

Scott Lord Silent Film: Silent Command (J.Gordon Edwards,1923)

by noreply@blogger.com (Scott Lord on Silent Film, Scott Lord on Mystery Film)
Its first run having coincided with Lon Chaney having appeared on theater marquees while starring in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, "The Silent Command", directed by J. Gordon Edwards during 1923, starred the relatively unknown actor Bela Lugosi. With actresses Alma Tell, Martha Mansfield and Florence Martin, the periodical Photoplay Magazine offered its review as near hyperbole, "Betty Jewel is the prettiest thing in the cast."

Scott Lord Silent Film: The Lookout Girl (Fitzgerald, 1928)

by noreply@blogger.com (Scott Lord on Silent Film, Scott Lord on Mystery Film)
Motion Picture News of 1928 reported, "Before starting on a co-starring role in 'The Spieler' for Pathe-DeMille, Jacqueline Logan will barely have time enough to star in 'The Lookout Girl' for which she has been signed for Quality Pictures at the Tee-Art Studios." The "Lookout Girl" (seven reels) was directed by Dallas M. Fitzgerald from a photoplay by Adrian Johnson. Photoplay Magazine 1929 reviewed the film with, "The plot becomes complicated but clears up in some mysterious fashion and everything manages to be 'hotsy-totsy' with Jacqueline Logan safe in Ian Kieth's arms. Unworthy of your attention."
Actress Jacqueline Logan during 1928 also starred in the seven reel Silent Horror Film "The Leopard Lady", directed by Rupert Julian. The film is presumed to be lost, with no surviving copies existing.

Scott Lord Silent Film: Greta Garbo in Love (Edmund Goulding,1927)

by noreply@blogger.com (Scott Lord on Silent Film, Scott Lord on Mystery Film)

Norman Zierold, in Garbo, his autobiography of Greta Garbo, mentions the willingness of M.G.M. to increase its budget on the films of Greta Garbo now that she had previously starred in three earlier films. The studio had originally slated Dmitri Buchowetsky to direct and Richard Cortez to star in the film "Love". "On seeing the early rushes the studio heaads were dissatisfied. They decided to scrap the footage, replace Buchowetsky with Edmond Goulding and Cortez with John Gilbert....The cost of the shifting of forces was nearly a quarter of a million dollars."
The film was photographed by William Daniels.
John Gilbert during 1927 also appeared in the films "Twelve Miles Out" (eight reels) directed by Jack Conway and starring Eileen Percy and "Man, Woman and Sin" (seven reels), directed by Monta Bell and starring actress Jeanne Eagles. Greta Garbo in Love silent Film

Bill Stilson-"Wife In Mirror,1966" Bearkin Neck painting

by noreply@blogger.com (Scott Lord on Silent Film, Scott Lord on Mystery Film)

I had the film camera on wait this morning and missed a convcievable shot, left with only a short segment I can't post.

I found it. The painting in the Gallery. It was in the window near Motif Number one. Apparently the owner of the gallery painted it in 1966, or one like it. I remember it.
It really should be in the museum with Lane and Homer.

Of course, Kate, it was a year before The Memorial Hall Murder, and quite possibly before The Fogg Art Museum Murder.
