High carrier mobility in graphene doped using a monolayer of tungsten oxyselenide

A monolayer of tungsten oxyselenide, created by oxidizing a layer of tungsten diselenide, can be used to efficiently dope graphene, leading to a room-temperature mobility of 2,000 cm2 V–1 s–1 at a hole density of 3 × 1013 cm–2.

Tuning of the Berry curvature in 2D perovskite polaritons

Engineering the energy dispersion of polaritons in microcavities can yield intriguing effects such as the anomalous quantum Hall and Rashba effects. Now, different Berry curvature distributions of polariton bands are obtained in a strongly coupled organic–inorganic two-dimensional perovskite single-crystal microcavity and can be modified via temperature and magnetic field variation.

Stoichiometric two-dimensional non-van der Waals AgCrS2 with superionic behaviour at room temperature

Layered materials held together by weak interactions can be exfoliated into monolayers that retain the structure and composition of their bulk counterpart, but this has remained challenging to achieve for non-van der Waals materials. Now, AgCrS2 has been exfoliated into such [CrS2]Ag[CrS2] nanosheets through intercalation with tetraalkylammonium cations chosen for their suitable redox potential. The nanosheets show superionic behaviour at room temperature.
