A Manga About Urban Horror Stories Become Real

by Richard Eisenbeis
Dsider

That thing's mouth WTF

Apparently never localized, oh well.

Upon hearing the news that Big Order , the newest manga by Future Diary ’s Sakae Esuno, is getting a short anime adaption next month, I re-read the whole manga. But when that wasn’t enough to satiate me, I had no choice but to pick up the author’s premier work: surreal detective story Hanako and the Teller of Allegories.

You know what, as much as I'm recoiling in horror, I have to respect that level of craftsmanship. These are, like, ita-ceremonial robes at this point.

There are people under there. Fans of the anime Love Live. They’re called “Love Livers” (ラブライバー or rabu raibaa) for good reason, because they really, really adore Love Live.

LEGO Dimensions' Voice Cast Is Just Nuts

by Mike Fahey
Dsider

Well, even if the game sucks, it sure will sound good.

Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future, Stephen Merchant and Ellen McLain from Portal, Gary Oldman as the game’s big bad and two different Chris Pratt performances—LEGO Dimensions’ definitely got talent.

Miyamoto Confirms That Super Mario Bros. 3 Was A Play

by Jason Schreier

One of my favorite video game theories to emerge over the past few years is that Super Mario Bros. 3, with its hanging blocks and curtains, was actually just a stage performance. Turns out, according to Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, the theory is true.

♥ Akane Kurashiki (June) | 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors

First upload after I decided to restart using this blog!

Here’s my contribution for 999 Week! This costume was probably the craziest unplanned cosplay adventure I’ve ever had! Even so I’m super pleased with how it came out and I would honestly change very few things. Unfortunately, I had no time to do the bracelet, but hopefully next time I’ll have it.

The Beauty of God Eater in Animated Gifs

by Richard Eisenbeis
Dsider

Seems like the animation improved as there were more scenes with Alisa (gee, I can't imagine why!), but going off of the comments, it pretty much only remains an eyecandy series. Plot is standard and protagonist is boring.

While video game-based anime God Eater didn’t make our list for the five must-watch anime this season , I wouldn’t hesitate to say that it is one beautiful-looking anime. I mean, just check out these gifs.

I Have Some Serious Concerns About the Captain America: Civil War Movie

by Rob Bricken on io9, shared by Tina Amini to Kotaku

The way Marvel keeps jamming superheroes into the third Captain America movie, the more it sounds like it’s going to be Avengers 2.5, with the twist being that the Avengers are taking sides against each other. Everyone loves seeing their favorite heroes take each other on, but the original Civil War storyline is so inherently problematic that I’m genuinely afraid there may be dire consequences well beyond the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
