10 Foods That Will Make You Happy Instantly
Let’s face it, healthy food seems boring. Sure, they’re filled with healthy nutrients that our bodies need and could probably even help us lose weight if we threw a little exercise in. But where’s the fun? I’m sure that many of us would feel happier biting into an ice cream or a burger than a bland garden salad. Or at least we think we would.
The strange truth is that some foods are designed to hack our bodies into feeling happy. Even stranger is that they’re not all vegetables. That’s right, you can eat your feelings of happiness and actually enjoy the taste at the same time. With that in mind, let’s take a look at 10 foods that will make you happy, whilst being both healthy and fun to eat too!
1. Salmon
Salmon, and fish in general, are an amazing source of both nutrition and happiness. This is primarily due to its high concentration of omega-3 fatty acids, which can improve your mood and alleviate mild depression. Oily fish such as salmon also contain high levels of vitamin B12, which can help in the production of serotonin. This is one of the neurotransmitters that aids in feelings of well being.
Not a fan of fish? No problem, just get your hands on some fish oil capsules for your daily dose of omega-3.
2. Spinach
Okay, I know I said I’d leave the vegetables alone, but there’s a reason that Popeye was all over this stuff. Spinach, along with other leafy greens, are high in folic acid, which is known to reduce fatigue and alleviate depression. They also contains high levels of magnesium, which is essential to maintaining adequate levels of serotonin. No wonder it made Popeye toot his horn!
3. Poultry
Chicken and turkey contain several amino acids that help you to maintain a happy mood. The first is trytophan, which helps to make serotonin. Be careful though, over indulging can result in feelings of sluggishness. The second is tyrosine, which aids the body in coping with stress. It also works as a building block for norepinephrine and dopamine, two of the neurotransmitters that are responsible for controlling your mood.
4. Milk
In addition to having an abundance of nutrients, milk can also play an important role in our moods. The first is due to it containing iodine, which is important for proper thyroid function. The thyroid gland regulates almost the entirety of your body’s functions through the hormones it produces, including your mood. The second is due to the presence of whey protein in milk, which is said to alleviate anxiety. Got milk?
5. Brazil Nuts
Similar to milk, Brazil nuts can positively effect your thyroid function. This is because they are rich in selenium, a micronutrient that helps the body to function correctly and is usually only found in plants. The amazing thing about selenium is that it its believed to have an almost instantaneous effect. This makes the nuts perfect for a quick energy fix.
6. Chocolate
There’s a reason why you feel so happy and satisfied after indulging in this sweet treat, and that’s because of a group of chemicals found in chocolate called N-acyclethanoloamine. They stimulate channels in the brain to release endorphins – the body’s pain-relieving and pleasure feeling chemicals. So, if you have some chocolate you’ll subsequently feel happy. This is important, because feelings of well being are imperative to maintaining our cardiovascular systems.
Despite its proven health benefits, we’re not giving you permission to inhale as much chocolatey goodness as your heart desires. Moderation is the key. Studies have shown that we need less than 7g per day, which equates to only 2 or 3 small pieces a week. So by all means, get those endorphins flowing, just don’t go crazy.
7. Chilis
This may sound preposterous, especially to those who aren’t fans of spicy food. But believe it or not, hot food can make you happy and provide you with a sense of well being. This is all thanks to a little chemical compound called capsaicin, which is what gives chili peppers their heat. When you eat something spicy the capasicin attaches itself to the pain receptors in the mucous membrane of your mouth and nose. Subsequently, the brain is told that it’s in pain, so it releases endorphins. Maybe that’s why some people like spicy food so much?
8. Honey
A sweet treat that is far healthier than sugar, honey can also have a positive impact on your mood. This is because it contains kaempferol and quercetin, chemicals which reduce inflammation in the brain and therefore helps to prevent depression. Honey also has has far less of an impact on your blood-sugar level, which means you won’t have a sudden
sugar crash that can leave you tired and depressed.
9. Coconut
Coconut can be a fantastic way to keep yourself happy because of its high levels of triglycerides. These are fats that aid your mood and promote brain health. Be careful how you get your coconut dose though – coconut milk and coconut based desserts are quite unhealthy. Your best bet is unsweetened, natural pieces of coconut or coconut shavings.
10. Pasta
That’s right folks, pasta and other forms of carbohydrate rich foods can actually be good for you. They do call it comfort food for a reason. The carbs are great because they release energy slowly whilst simultaneously helping us to feel full and satisfied. In addition, pasta is full of protein which contains two important amino acids – L-pheny-lalanine and trytophan. As we’ve previously learnt, these release endorphins which help to elevate our mood.
It’s important to note that whole grains are a far healthier option when it comes to carbohydrates, so stick to multigrain or wholemeal bread, brown or basmati rice and wholegrain pasta.

Vingancinha do bem

Well, I’m Hosed
From now on, it’ll be “whatta cutie pie” this and “iddle snookums wookums” that. And once it learns to crawl, I’ll be dodging toy blocks and having my tail yanked every five minutes. Oh well, it was a sweet gig while it lasted.

The Voice (NBC): US$ 264.575,00
Modern Family (ABC): US$ 257,435,00
The Simpsons (FOX): US$ $ 256.963,00

Amazing Miniature Scenes Shot with Model Cars, Forced Perspective and a $250 P&S
![]()
Model maker/collector and photographer Michael Paul Smith is a master at recreating incredibly accurate outdoor scenes using his extensive die-cast model car collection and forced perspective.
Mixing up miniature cars, detail items and buildings into a scene whose backdrop is the real world, he shoots the gorgeous miniature vistas of the town he has created and named “Elgin Park” — and he does it all with a cheap point-and-shoot.
Elgin Park is some 25 years in the making, as are Smith’s modeling and diorama photography skills. In an extensive interview with Fstoppers, he describes his tools, his process and the minute attention to detail that creating these scenes requires.
Ironically, Smith has diagnosed himself as “math challenged,” so when it comes to properly framing the forced perspective, he simply eyeballs it. Years of experience have led to an uncanny ability to do this right on the first shot, but if he doesn’t, he simply goes up and unceremoniously drags his table/models into the correct spot.
![]()
![]()
The most intriguing part of Smith’s creations, however, isn’t how insanely detailed these models are (some of the cars have seats that move on rails and glove compartments that open and close) or even the fascinating process that he goes through from idea to final product.
The most intriguing thing is that he does this entirely outdoors, using natural light and a 14-megapixel Canon SX280, which goes for about $250 online. Before the Canon he used a 12-megapixel Sony, and before that a 6-megapixel Sony that was actually his favorite because, get this, 14 megapixels is too much resolution.
“14 megapixels is almost too much for what I need to take convincing diorama shots. There is too much information being recorded which makes every little detail show up in the photographs,” he tells Fstoppers. “When working with miniatures, at least for myself, too much detail distracts from the total scene.”
![]()
![]()
Although he tends to self-deprecate a bit in the interview where his skills are concerned, don’t let him fool you. As his photography obviously shows, he’s very good at what he does. Whether it’s a high-school stadium parking lot scene, or a DART truck unloading a washer and dryer in a residential area, his miniatures really are quite stunning.
Here’s a look at more of what he’s put together over the years, with the behind-the-scenes photo first and the final product second:

As he mentions above (and you probably already guessed) when it comes to putting these kinds of scenes together, as they say, the devil is in the details. When Fstoppers’ Gary Martin asked him what the most important thing to remember when creating models like this is, he responded with an adamant:
Keep everything in scale. From the thickness of the shingles down to the wallpaper design and door knobs, everything must be in the proper relationship to each other. I can’t stress that enough.
And if you want to see more of what that kind of attention to detail produces, head over to Smith’s Flickr and browse through the rest of his photostream by clicking here.

Veja a conversa:

Anyone Can Be Romantic With These 30 Tips
Romance: a feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Sadly, most of us have a tendency to get too comfortable and complacent in our relationships, turning what used to be fresh and exciting into a VCR rewind that becomes boring and monotonous.
A person can only do the same thing so many times before they get bored, so going on the same dates over and over again probably isn’t the best way to keep your love life exciting or mysterious. The good news? Anyone can be romantic. Apply these 30 tips if you’d like to make your partner say, “WOW!”
1. Is your partner sick at work?
Surprise them at work with hot cocoa or tea. If they’ve got a terrible case of the flu, you could even bring them a thermos containing Theraflu! One of my past girlfriends did this for me and I thought it was one of the sweetest things she ever did for me. Don’t underestimate the power of small, thoughtful surprises!
2. Make a mix tape/CD.
It’s old-school, but it still works (and your partner will think about you every time they listen to it!).
3. Start every day with a hug and kiss.
This will release feel-good hormones in your body that will make you and your love feel super happy!
4. Write a love note.
Yes, you could send a text saying, “I love you,” but that’s too obvious. Given that most of us communicate electronically all day every day, taking the time to actually write a letter by hand will show your partner how thoughtful and romantic you are.
5. Write a love poem.
If a note is just too easy, step up your game by upgrading to a love poem! It doesn’t have to be a Shakespearean sonnet: it’s the thought that counts! If you’re a comedian, you could even make it comedic, because few things are more sexy than funny people.
6. Go on a picnic.
Prepare a lunch or grab some take-out and enjoy a scenic lunch together. Bonus points if you plan it at a time the park will be quiet so you can enjoy some much-needed peace and silence together.
7. Never stop complimenting your partner.
Never stop complimenting your partner on your favorite things about their body, and if they’re looking super suave and sexy, make sure you tell them all about it.
8. Shoulder rub? Yes, please!
Who doesn’t love a good shoulder rub? Give your partner a nice massage if they look tense after work. If you’re lucky, they might return the favor. If you’re really lucky, it could lead to more fun activities!
9. Say, “I love you.”
It goes without saying, but in the hustle and bustle of the stressful life a lot of us lead, it’s awfully easy to forget the power of those three simple words.
10. Do you remember that one time…?
As the months and years go on, it can become easy to forget why we fell so hard for a person in the first place. Talk about that lovely day you met each other, laugh about that terribly embarrassing thing you said on your first date, and remind each other of your relationship’s Greatest Hits!
11. Surprise your honey with coffee or breakfast in bed.
This goes for you too, guys. Bring your partner a cup of coffee to help them start the morning energized with a quick caffeine hit (they will thank you for it!). If you’d really like to make them feel special, surprise them with a tray of their favorite breakfast foods. Two scrambled eggs, chopped berries, and a bit of yogurt would definitely do the trick.
12. Invest in a babysitter!
If you’ve got kids, I know life can get busy, but it’s in your best interest to find a way to have some alone time with the special person in your life. Can’t afford to hire a sitter? Ask a parent or trusted friend to watch your Mini-Me in exchange for a thoughtful favor tailored to their needs. For example, if you have a friend who hates cleaning, offer to come over and get things organized in exchange for a night of sitting. Sounds fair to me!
13. Snuggle.
Just do it, trust me.
14. Be mindful of your partner’s interests.
Fellas: I know you might not be that into romantic movies, but if your partner really wants to go see one, it will mean the world to her. It’s just two hours and you will survive, I promise!
Ladies: Your man and his love of wrestling, Nascar, or whatever the case may be? Same goes for you!
15. Go to a movie (but don’t actually watch it).
Go to a movie together and make-out like love-struck high school teenagers. I wouldn’t advise this if you’re going to see Schindler’s List, but otherwise it’ll be tons of fun!
16. “How was your day?”
Ask that simple question when your partner gets home from work to show them how much you care.
17. Focus!
Put down the phone, turn off the TV, make eye contact, and say, “What would you like to talk about?” Just because you’re hearing your partner’s words doesn’t mean you’re comprehending them. Taking a brief moment to do this will make them feel loved and important.
18. Blast from the past.
If you’ve been together for a long time, think about some of the special places you went to in the early days of your relationship and revisit them in the present. I wager you’ll both be flooded by long-forgotten memories when you get there.
19. Why so serious?
Have tickle fights, go to a comedy club, make-out in a photo booth. Life doesn’t have to be so serious all the time, and laughter will help you grow closer to the person you love.
20. Before you go to work…
Tell your partner that you can’t wait to see them when you get back and give them a quick kiss.
21. Look at the stars.
Grab a blanket, a bottle of wine, and the hand of your dearest. Lay under the stars, relax, look at the constellations, have a drink, and talk about life.
22. Take up a hobby.
Dance class? Crafting? Gardening? Acting? A new language? Pick your pleasure. Figure out a hobby both you and your partner would enjoy and pursue it together to strengthen your relationship.
23. Ride a ferris wheel.
And don’t forget to get some cotton candy when you’re done!
24. Dress up.
Remember how when you were first dating and you spent hours agonizing over what you should wear? I’m not saying you have to take it to that extent, but some people do tend to let their style go downhill if they get too comfortable in a relationship. Turn the tables by dressing up as if it is your very first date together and you want to be certain you WOW them as much as possible.
25. Schedule a “play” date.
Have kids? It might be tough the find the time for intimacy, so plan to get a sitter one-day-per-week so you can have some alone time with your partner. Go out on a date and then come home, where the real fun begins. I know scheduling might not sound sexy in theory but it is in practice, and believe me, there’s nothing like a little anticipation to spice up your love life.
26. Have a friendly competition.
Bowling, putt-putt, darts, pool, or even the Nintendo Wii all apply. Make a bet with your partner: the loser gives a full body massage to the winner.
27. Surprise your love with a thoughtful gift.
I’m not talking about the obvious occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s, and so on — and I’m not suggesting you need to empty your bank account either. But surprise your partner with a little gift that will be meaningful for them when they least expect it if you want to brighten their day! Or, if you’d rather surprise your partner with a fun adventure, check out these 15 surprising romantic date ideas.
28. Hold hands and go on a stroll.
Enjoy each other’s presence in silence and be happy that you have such a special person in your life.
29. This.
30. Be creative.
The other 29 tips should give you some inspiration that will help you be more romantic, but no one knows your partner better than you do. What makes him tick? What does she adore? How can you make their day and show them how much you care? Tell me in the comments (but more importantly, show them today!).

Effective Home Remedies to Remove Stubborn Stain
Personally, I hate using strong chemicals to get rid of stubborn stains. The strong odor ingites my system to respond like an actor whose acting style is to exaggerate every emotion he wants to portray. Some hollywood folks call this style: overacting. In short, I normally have allergies if I use laboratory manufactured chemicals. They are a bit overboard for poor sensitive me.
My alternative is to use the most natural substances readily available at home. What are those substances? Vinegar, shampoo, table salt or NaCl, baking soda, cold water, even a bottle of Coke is usable. You might think I’m just making this up, believe me, I studied the chemical components of all these, and based on my findings, and the result of my experiments, they do really work.
The cool thing about it is, they abound in my kitchen. Now, what makes me confident to express my thoughts about chemistry? I took up more than the usual loads of chemistry units in college, and did well on them. But, that’s another story.
Moving on, this wonderful guide is supplied to us by Uniform Advantage.

Confira tudo no vídeo acima!

32 Things You’ll Miss Out If You’re Not In A Relationship
If you are in a relationship or had a relationship before, then you know the sparkles your partner could bring to your life. Kelly Erickson, the owner of VisionPoints The (Small Business!) Experience Designers, shared with us why having a partner makes you happier in life on Quora. What you’ll miss out if you don’t have a girlfriend (or a boyfriend)?
Depends entirely on the girlfriend. Some things you might be missing out on:
- Soft smells from her hair, her skin, her extra set of clothes that she leaves in your closet.
- Hugs, peekaboo-guess-who, kisses on the back of your neck when you’re hard at work and forgot about the world around you for too long.
- Good cooking, or maybe good-morning coffee, or good takeout.
- Inspiration, shared jokes, mind-bending middle-of-the-night discussions.
- A buddy who’ll hand you a tissue during the sad parts of your favorite movies… you know when Bruce Willis died in that one, you got all choked up, didn’t you?
- An enthusiastic fan of your career, your writing, your sense of humor, your (terrible) saxophone playing, your pickup games of basketball on Saturday mornings.
- A convert to your football team… at least on the weeks when her favorite team isn’t playing yours.
- New music you didn’t know about.
- Someone to tell about that new song you just heard… even if it’s kind of cheesy she’ll probably give it a try.
- Stories of her life before you.
- Someone to brag to, who loves listening to you brag.
- Whispered sweet nothings.
- A helper when you need a hand.
- Someone to help—who shows her appreciation in wild and wonderful ways, like cake when it’s not your birthday.
- Tons of new experiences, new places to go, new foods to try, new friends to learn about, new authors and artists to consider, new lingerie to appreciate.
- Someone to grow into and grow comfortable with.
- Someone to tell secrets to… good ones and bad ones… without judgement.
- Tickling.
- Teasing.
- Phone calls when your boss isn’t within earshot.
- Texts when your boss isn’t looking.
- A hand to hold, and arms to hold you, when times are tough and you’re not sure you can support your own weight any more.
- A perspective very different from your own, but meltingly familiar.
- Butterflies in your stomach.
- The gentle jealousy of being in a secure relationship with someone who’s a “catch” in your eyes—yet your eyes are the only ones that count to her.
- Massages.
- Caressing.
