This kid is ****Flawless. He doesn’t diva for the fame, he divas for the love of diva-ing. The incident happened on KLAS Las Vegas and as far as we could tell the news crew had no idea it was happening.

Also, take notice at second 0:14 when something off camera distracts, and disgusts, the superstar, before he quickly and gracefully recovers. Pure talent.

Burger King has a new ad, featuring a very loud, slightly manic young man asking people on the street how much they think their chicken nuggets would cost

Comedian Billy Eichner saw a resemblance between the ad and his own act, known best through Funny or Die's Billy on the Street. Eichner called out the fast food chain on Twitter Sunday night when he saw the ad air.

Hey @BurgerKing-thanks for stealing my act for ur new commercial!! Except its not as funny & everyone knows u stole it. GET YOUR OWN IDEAS.

A train struck three people taking photos on a trestle, or bridge, in California on Saturday afternoon. One person was killed and two were injured, according to authorities.

It was the latest tragedy caused by people risking their safety to get a great shot from train tracks.

Santa Barbara County Fire spokesman Mike Eliason said the three victims were among four people shooting pictures around sunset Saturday as a southbound Amtrak train approached.

Eliason says they tried to run off the trestle between Refugio State Beach and Gaviota State Park, but three were hit by the train. Read more...

by Rita El Khoury

sandisk-32gb-microsdSo there's this South Korean seller on eBay who seems to have a large stock of Sandisk's Class 10 Micro SDHC cards and wants to get rid of them. For $10 a pop, you can get your hands on this very decent amount of extra storage for your phone, tablet, or other gadgets. green-sum (that's the name of the seller) will be nice enough to ship it to your "worldwide" for free for what seems to be a $5 fee across several ZIP codes we tried (the seller did list with free shipping originally, but the amount has since gone up), as long as your definition of "worldwide" excludes Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, South America, and basically any territory that isn't the United States minus Alaska and Hawaii.

No. Way.

Aside from the fact it stars George Clooney and Britt Robertson, Tomorrowland has until now been nothing but a big, frustrating secret. With the first teaser trailer, released Thursday at New York Comic-Con, the secret isn't just out — it'll make you jump.

Make it stop: #bendgate continues with new Galaxy Note 4 bend test [VIDEO]

by Chris Chavez

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 bendtest

After reports from users of Apple’s latest (and biggest) flagship falling victim to a pair of skinny jeans, the newest trend in tech was the bend test. Everything from the Moto X, HTC One M8, to the Galaxy Note 3 were subject to the new stress test. With a growing number of YouTubers brave crazy enough to destroy their smartphone for a handful of views, we even saw Samsung construct their own 200lb robot butt, smashing the Galaxy Note 4 repeatedly in a video to show off its durability.

The original iPhone 6 Plus video — which can be credited with sparking the worldwide #bendgate phenomenon — has seen over 50 million views since it went live and now the same guy (Unbox Therapy) is back yet again. Looking to cash in another check, he takes the all new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for a spin, putting it through his very scientific stress test which simply involves applying pressure with his thumbs until something breaks. Everybody’s gotta have a schtick. Fast forward to 2:37 to skip the lengthy commentary.

Chromecast update brings custom wallpapers, news, weather backdrops, and more

by Chris Chavez

Chromecast Android update backdrop

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a good Chromecast update, but today, one of the most long requested features is finally being addressed. New for Android and iOS are backdrops, custom backgrounds the user can configure to display everything from custom wallpapers, to news and weather.

Setup is a breeze and gives users a robust set of options like displaying their own photos (off by default), art (from Google Open Gallery and Google Cultural Institute), weather in your location, satellite images, featured Google+ photos, or news from your Google Play Newsstand account. Although social networks or sites like Tumblr aren’t supported quite yet, it’s pretty easy to see where Google can take this.

Chromecast backdrop update

If you’re ever curious to learn more about whatever is being displayed (like some sort of the art), at any point you can either open the Chromecast app and tap on what’s being displayed (backdrop tab), or open up the Google app on your phone and speak the command “What’s on my Chromecast?” Doesn’t get much easier than that.

The Chromecast 1.8.22 is rolling out in stages right now on Google Play, so either wait around until it’s available for your device, or sideload the app by downloading the updated apk here. You can learn more about backdrops by visiting Google’s all new landing page.

Holding off on downloading iOS 8? You’re not the only one.

Less than half of Apple users have installed the latest operating systems, according to Apple’s own

The update has been live for about 20 days, first available Sept. 17. The percentage of people using iOS 8 is the same as those still using iOS 7 — 47%.

Over the same time period, nearly 70% of Apple users had already made the jump to iOS 7 when it was first launched, according to Information Week

. But iOS 8 installation rates remain stagnant, increasing in users just 1% since Sept. 21.

The 47% number doesn’t seem so low when compared to adoption rates for KitKat, Android’s latest operating system, the software of choice for only about 25% of overall Android users, according to Android’s metrics. But the history of Apple’s success in this department is hard to ignore. Read more...

The Grant Gustin-led superhero drama premiered Tuesday night to 4.54 million viewers and a 1.8 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, giving the network its most-watched series debut in five years, according to preliminary numbers made available by Nielsen.

The Arrow spin-off also ranked as the CW's third most-watched series premiere of all time, bested only by the numbers delivered by The Vampire Diaries in 2009 and the 90210 reboot in 2008

If you've never hopped aboard the Arrow train, Wednesday night is the time to buy a ticket

Creating a season premiere that functioned as a "good jumping off point for new viewers" was not necessarily the intension, according to executive producer Marc Guggenheim, but the end of Season 2, which saw the departure of a major villain and a few character arc conclusions that function as beginnings in this new season, just lent itself to such an episode.

"I don't really think there's anything you really need to know coming into it," he told reporters of the Season 3 opener. "It's pretty new-viewer friendly. That wasn't necessarily by design, it just happened to work out that way because of the story we were telling." Read more...

UPDATE Tuesday 3:40 pm ET: Super Typhoon Vongfong has intensified further, with maximum sustained winds of about 180 miles per hour and gusts higher than 200 miles per hour. This puts it among the strongest storms on record, based on a satellite estimate.

Super Typhoon Vongfong is now equivalent to a high-end Category 5 storm, and it may even intensify further during the next six hours, according to the Joint Typhoon Warning Center. By some measures it is equivalent to, if not slightly stronger than, Super Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated the Philippines in 2013.

Super Typhoon Vongfong has reached meteorological perfection, and hence peak destructiveness, as it churns across the warm waters of the Western Pacific Ocean toward Japan. Read more...
