91 Episode, 50 Hour Marathon of My Little Pony Coming to The Hub
Lrbever50 hours of ponies in 4 days? Spike: Holy guacamole!
Looking for something to do in July? A press release was sent out from The Hub announcing a massive My Little Pony marathon starting on August 4th and running all the way to August 8th. Every single one of the 91 episodes will be included, in the order that they originally aired. They also throw a bit of oldschool pony in there for those that want to venture into the unknown, or others that need a nostalgia bomb.
This release also repeats the 2015 release date for Season 5.
Thanks to Masem, Ashley, and everyone else for sending it as well!

LrbeverI hate the smell of my sweat too!
There is a town in Norway named Hell.
LrbeverGoing here when I die.
It gets even better - if you use the country’s abbreviated form, the town is called Hell, NO! The name Hell is deriven not from the fiery furnace, from the Old Norse word hellir, which meant ‘cliff cave’. Strangely enough, nowadays the word ‘hell’ in Norwegian means luck! As you would expect, the town has become a relatively popular tourist destination over the years. Visitors enjoy taking photographs of the local train station, which boasts a sign which reads “Hell: Gods-expedition”. This is actually a clever play on the Norwegian term godsekspedisjon, which means “cargo handling”! Rumor has it that this Hell tends to freeze over annually, believe it or not.
Another Hellishly fun fact: Mona Grudt, the first Norwegian to be named "Miss Universe", is from a small town near Hell. During the competition in 1990, she listed herself as "The Beauty Queen from Hell" as a publicity stunt. The trick must've worked, because she ended up winning the entire competition!

In Harry Potter, no one believes Prof. Trelawney's predictions. The reason has to do with Greek Mythology!
Lrbeverneat
In the Harry Potter books, Sybill Trelawney is a teacher of Divination at Hogwarts. Divination is to tell the future, but everyone thinks she is a fraud. While she makes some erroneous predictions (usually about a student dying), she can make accurate predictions when she goes into a trance.
However, there is a historical reason for why everyone thinks she's a fraud and it has to do with Greek Mythology. In the 5th Harry Potter book, it's said that Prof. Trelawney is the descendant of the great seer Cassandra Trelawney. While it might seem like a throwaway line, it probably refers to the Greek prophet Cassandra.
In the Greek story, the god Apollo fell in love with Cassandra and gave her the gift of prophecy. He then tried to put the moves on her and she rebuked him. He got angry and instead of taking the gift back, he cursed her: nobody would believe her predictions or the predictions of her descendants.
