Howdy! Today we’re unleashing Wondernode (our new blog)! For a while now we’ve wanted to have a place to share stuff we love as well as publish other types of content that wouldn’t necessarily fit in with Doghouse comics. We have a lot of good stuff in store for it so stay tuned, bookmark it and follow it on Facebook, Twitter, and G+.
I don't know — it's just that tonight is so filled with tension, I thought we needed something to relieve it. Or heighten it. Point is, let's watch it and talk about how cute animals are for a little, okay?

Today’s Google doodle honors the 195th birthday of Maria Mitchell, an early 19th century astronomer who rose to the top of her field at a time when women were scarce in university faculties and recognized positions in the scientific community.
An astronomy professor at Vassar College, she protested slavery and supported women’s suffrage and equality. Today the nonprofit Maria Mitchell Foundation in Nantucket promotes her legacy, and encourages all people to pursue a passion in science.
So, Mary Robinette Kowal is over for a visit, and she brought her Regency dresses, because why wouldn’t she. Someone on Twitter mentioned that they wanted to see me in one, so I said, fine, if people on Twitter could send $500 in donations to the Clarion Foundation in half an hour, I’d take a picture in one of the dresses. We raised $600. Here I am in a Regency dress. And it looks fetching on me, I have to say.
