Einar Froberg

Einar Froberg acted at the Svenska Teatern during 1903. Froberg co-starred with Victor Sjostrom in the 1913 film "Barnet", directed by Mauritz Stiller. He returned to the screen in front of the camera in 1924 in a photoplay which he had scripted for Swedish Silent Film director Sigurd Wallen in the film "Grevarna pa Svenska".

Erik Petschler

Erik Petschler acted at the Djurgardsteatern during 1912.

During 1916, George af Klercker wrote and directed the films "Calle's New Clothes" (Calles Nya Klader), starring Mary Johnson and Teckla Sjoblom, and "Calle as a Millionaire" (Calle som Miljonar), starring Maja Cassel and actress Helge Kihlberg in the first film in which she was to appear.Both films were photographed by Gustaf A. Please note that the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere occurred the day before The Shot Heard Round the World, as was its purpose. During 1772, Paul Revere had made church bells manufactured from copper and tin for several of the churches in Boston.
This is the view of Paul Revere's grave from inside the church, on Brimstone corner, a granary used to store gunpowder during the revolution. Donna is cataloging book donations in the library- I have lunch overlooking the graveyard. Today is Palm Sunday.
Postscript: To commemorate the 250th anniversay of Paul Revere's Ride, The White House noted that the ride was intended to communicate with Sam Adams and John Hancock- both patriots are buried next to Paul Revere and their graves can also be viewed from where I have lunch on Sundays. Today was a week day and Donna bought me brunch in Cambridge, Massachusetts. (We did in fact take part of Brattle Street home. The name of the national park is Longfellow House-Washington Headquarters, but evey time we pass it she asks if its the other yellow house right before it, but she remembers the rabits in the garden.)Scott Lord

In the extratextural discourse that may have developed the confections of genre, Motion Picture Weekly published press sheets for Bluebird's "sensational melodrama" "The Craving" with "Suggestions for Putting This Picture Over", their having announced that in some shots of its "remarkable photography" there were "as many as four distinct exposures" that would "make audiences gasp." The film's "Distinctive Feature" was "mysterious illusions of weird beauty."

Claimed to have been a "sensation" by writers of the period, "Black Oxen" (eight reels) was directed by Frank Lloyd, who co-wrote the script with Mary O'Hara as an adaptation of a then recent, then controversial novel by Gertrude Atherton. Atherton took the title from a phrase from poet William Butler Yeats. The film stars actresses Corinne Griffith and Clara Bow. Screenland magazine reviewed the film during November of 1923. "The passing years are like black oxen, wrote Gertrude Atherton, plodding on relentlessly. The heroine of 'Black Oxen' is a famous beauty who successfully renews her youth, thereby creating a new world for herself, far from her old loves and dreams." SILENT FILM SILENT FILM SILENT FILM

While Donna was busy in the library, I very awkwardly introduced myself to President of Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, and after years and years of living in Boston I really said something like 'are you whom I think' while telling him that I had seen his books and had always looked forward to meeting him- all of which was ok, but honestly, I probably just hadn't had had coffee... Usually Dr. Elaine Phillips is here and does answer questions about Scripture occaisionally.
