• The Met Police have confirmed they have received a report of alleged sexual assault in 2003. Officers did not name Brand, but said they were in contact with the woman and were "providing her with support".


• One of Brand's accusers said his response to the allegations of rape and sexual abuse was "insulting".


• Channel 4’s Alistair Jackson appeared on the BBC's Newscast podcast and revealed that more people have contacted the Dispatches team since the special aired on Saturday. The Times has also confirmed that more women have come forward with claims.


• The remaining three shows of Brand's UK tour have been postponed, as the promoters said: "We don't like doing it, but we know you'll understand".


• Brand did not appear on his livestreamed weeknight show on Monday night.


• It has been revealed that comedian Katherine Ryan was among those who hinted at the ‘open secret’ of his behaviour while they appeared on the TV show Roast Battle. She has previously used interviews to describe her criticism of an unnamed “predator” in British television. In one joke on the show Ryan described how it was good to see Brand “looking so good”, before adding: “I will remind you of that if any victims come out.”

Tavistock Wood Management Agency, which also represents Lily James and Dominic West, issued a statement on Sunday: “Russell Brand categorically and vehemently denied the allegation made in 2020, but we now believe we were horribly misled by him. TW has terminated all professional ties to Brand.”

In 2020, Alice, the woman who had a relationship with him when he was 30 years old and she was a 16 year old student, contacted Tavistock Wood co-founder Angharad Wood to recount her experience. She said she wanted them to know what Brand did and she wanted an apology. The response she received was an aggressive message from Brand's lawyer insinuating she was seeking money. The management company chose to keep him as a client for three more years. They are now shocked, SHOCKED I TELL YOU, by the recent exposé.

MBC PR, Brand's publicist, has removed his name from their list of clients on their website but they have not made a statement about dropping him. Their client list includes Barbra Streisand, Depeche Mode, Foo Fighters, Madonna, Metallica, and Kesha.

The UK women's charity Trevi Women announced that it had cut ties with Brand and his Stay Free Foundation.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, showrunner Eric Kripke has admitted that Homelander is becoming more and more of a direct Trump stand-in this season. He says:

"All he ever wants is to be the most powerful person he can be, even though he’s completely inadequate in his abilities to handle it. So it’s white-male victimization and unchecked ambition. And those issues just happened to reflect the guy who, it’s just still surreal to say it, was fucking president of the United States. And it’s a bigger issue than just Trump. The more awful public figures act, the more fans they seem to be getting. That’s a phenomenon that we wanted to explore, that Homelander is realizing that he can actually show them who he really is and they’ll love him for it."

I am... not a huge fan of this? I think Homelander works absolutely perfectly as a satire of a superhero and a typical angry, insecure white man. Shoehorning all these Trumpisms is kind of extra and unneeded IMO. Also, I have major Trump fatigue, make it stop, etc.

• This is the second January in a row that Duhamel has replaced a male lead under interesting circumstances. In January 2021 he entered early talks to replace Armie Hammer in the Jennifer Lopez-led romcom Shotgun Wedding and was officially announced as the new lead in early February.

In "Who is you, Jason?" news, after being heckled by some random men who called him Usher, and then told him to fuck himself, Jason Derulo ("Cats"), said "I don't scream my name for no reason!" (well, in my mind he did) and went to throw hands, landing one man on hte ground.


No word if the men genuinely mistook him for Usher (lol) or were just heckling him. My guess is the latter, considering they followed up with expletives.

Despite being injured, the two men did not press charges (but apparently they have up to a year to do so, so give it a few days).

The Great British Christmas Bake Off

Swapping the Pink Palace for an equally iconic erection, Olly Alexander (Ritchie), Lydia West (Jill), Nathaniel Curtis (Ash) and Shaun Dooley (Ritchie’s dad Clive) from It's a Sin will enter the Bake Off tent to try their hand at some festive themed bakes. Judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood and hosts Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas will preside over the hotly contested competition to see who on the cast knows their sieves from their spatulas.

The Umbrella Academy star Tom Hopper and actress Kat Graham are set to star in Netflix’s upcoming RomCom "Love in the Villa." Mark Steven Johnson will write and direct.

The film follows a young woman who takes a trip to romantic Verona, Italy, after a breakup, only to find that the villa she reserved was double-booked, and she’ll have to share her vacation with a cynical (and very good-looking) British man.

Production will begin this month in Verona and the film will premiere sometime next year (2022) on Netflix.

“Now, more than ever, people need some love and laughter in their lives. Everyone seems so divided these days. But in the end everyone wants the same thing — to love and to be loved,” Johnson said. “That’s what movies like Love in the Villa are about.”
