Gmail Calling Is Back, Now Part of Google Hangouts

Gmail Calling Is Back, Now Part of Google Hangouts

Google just brought back its much-beloved VOIP calling feature and added it to Hangouts, allowing users to call phones for free right from their computer.

Pieces of desktop calling have been available in Hangouts since the beginning, but starting today, Google is officially bringing the feature back. Now, you can call any US or Canadian phone number for free from any country where Hangouts calling is available. You'll make your call in a Hangouts window similar to the one you get when you have a video chat, and you can add other voice or video calls to the mix.

To make a call, just click the phone icon in Gmail's Hangouts sidebar or the "Call a Phone" menu item in Google+ or Hangouts for Chrome. The feature starts rolling out today, but if you don't see it, check back in the next couple of days and it should pop up. Hit the link below to read more from Google.

Sprinkle Vanilla Extract on Your Air Filters to Scent the Whole House

by Eric Ravenscraft

When replacing the air filters in your home, add a few drops of vanilla extract—or another scented extract of your preference—to eliminate odors and keep your home smelling fresh.

You won't want to saturate the filter. Just add enough to give the air that passes through it a nice smell. If you don't have central air, you can accomplish something similar by putting some extract in a coffee mug and placing it in an oven for an hour.
