>The City of Concord is conducting a survey to get feedback from residents about walking and bicycling in Concord. The information provided will support the City’s upcoming Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Safe Routes to Transit Plan.
The survey is now available through April 12 online at the project’s website, www.cityofconcord.org/bikeandped.
“We know that some of the best information about walking and biking in Concord will come from residents,” says Principal Planner Andy Mogensen. “After hosting information tables in Todos Santos Plaza last summer, we want to reach out more broadly to the community to get input that will help plan and guide future investment in sidewalks, street crossing, bike lanes and other improvements.”
The City will also be hosting a public workshop on Wednesday, April 8 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Willow Pass Center, 2748 East Olivera Rd. The workshop will be an open-house format focusing on community needs and the built environment. Staff from the Contra Costa County Health Services’ Community Wellness and Prevention Program, Monument Impact, and City staff will be on hand to listen to ideas and share the plan’s objectives. Planning staff from the Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) will also be on hand to share proposed designs and get feedback on upcoming projects at the Concord Station.
