Alexey Kljatov – rewelacyjne fotografie makro płatków śniegu
Alexey Kljatov, to rosyjski fotograf zamieszkały w Moskwie. Jak łatwo można wywnioskować z jego galerii na Flickrze, główne jego zainteresowania to fotografia HDR i zdjęcia makro.
Wśród jego prac można znaleźć niesamowite zbliżenia płatków śniegu, których techniczna jakość sugeruje, że zostały wykonane jakimś naprawdę dobrym sprzętem. Okazuje się, że jest zupełnie inaczej. Do wykonania tych zdjęć Alexey Kljatov użył stareńkiego kompaktu Canon A650, którego wbudowany obiektyw został wsparty jeszcze starszym Heliosem 44M-5. Całość została połączona odpowiednio długą tubą, uszczelniona przed światłem czarną folią i taśmą klejącą – i gotowe.
Ponieważ Canon A650 wedle współczesnych standardów nie jest zbyt dużym osiągnięciem techniki, to pierwotnie uzyskane zdjęcia były dość mocno zaszumione. Spowodowane było to tym, że dla uzyskania odpowiednio dużej głębi ostrości (znany problem przy fotografii makro), konieczne było użycie dość dużej wartości przesłony, a co za tym idzie – w celu uzyskania odpowiedniej ekspozycji, trzeba było to skompensować odpowiednio długim czasem naświetlania. Długi czas naświetlania niestety zwiększa szum matrycy.
Alexey rozwiązał ten problem wykonując kolejno 8 identycznych zdjęć, a następnie uśredniając je w Photoshopie. Ponieważ szum jest z natury (prawie) losowy, a pożądana zawartość zdjęcia (sygnał) jest (prawie) stała, to takie uśrednienie pozwoliło wyeliminować zdecydowaną większość szumu na korzyść sygnału.
